Unfortunately, I had to have surgery back in October. But fortunately, I ended up under the care of Dr. Francisco Itriago. Besides being a great surgeon, he is a great communicator. He always took the time needed to make sure that we understood what was going on and what our options were. He clearly explained what the next steps were, being very honest and upfront about my situation. My husband I both felt like he wanted to do the right thing by me. The office staff was always kind & helpful in communicating with me if there were any changes or I had questions.

Dr. Tapper performed a robotic hernia repair surgery on me yesterday. I cannot express my gratitude for how well everything was handled by him and his surgical team. Dr Tapper is very through in handling every aspect of the procedure. He explains what the problem is and gives several ways that he can handle them. He left me with a great deal of confidence that everything would be done as well as possible, and it was. I also was very pleased with his varied background and experience. I am very happy that Dr. Tapper is my surgeon. The office staff for SSA are also very professional and knowledgeable and easy to work with. It's been a very good experience being associated with the surgical group.

I have no words to properly describe how wonderful this team is and how much I appreciate Dr. Tapper. I went in for a simple procedure that turned out to be a bit more complicated, but Dr. Tapper and his team kept me informed and eased any of my concerns during the recovery process. The end result was better than I hoped for. I hope to never see Dr. Tapper again (as I hope to have no more surgeries!), but he is hands down the best surgeon I’ve ever had. Thank you!

The treatment my 92 year old mother received at both,Brandon location and location of St Joseph South was Excellent. Her care was compassionate given and attentive from office reception to medical techs to Dr Tapper. THANKS 😊

I had a fundoplication surgery with Dr Donovan Tapper of Suncoast surgical Associates, and it did not go very well. He damaged the nerve that empty’s the stomach into the intestine and I ended up with a severe case of gastroparesis. Only 10% of my stomach is emptying into my intestine in the time that 90% should be emptied. I’m left with bloating, distended stomach, nausea, gassy, cannot eat the foods I love. And so much more. There is no cure and it cannot be repaired. Dr Tapper never addressed this issue with me. He doesn’t seem to give a darn that he ruined my healthy way of life. Ann Drake

I highly recommend! I’ve been to the Riverview location several times for post op care and the staff is so amazingly friendly and they took great care of me during an awful time. Specifically they remembered I had twins, which I appreciated and that made me feel special; they also worked hard to get me in and out of my appointments quickly to get back to my infant twins! They work efficiently and kindly and even though no one wants to be in an emergency and have to have emergency care SSA did their best to make it better. Shout Out to Dr Itriago for helpin your girl out! Thanks again!

Dr Mino is a down to earth compassionate individual who cares about the role he plays in his patients lives. He was referred to me by another physician I truly trust and I was not disappointed. I am not an easy patient due to some other health issues and Dr. Mino provided me with a surgical procedure which has improved my quality of life. Thank you. I highly recommend this doctor, he is truly an amazing physician and surgeon.

Dr. Itriago is an excellent surgeon along with Dr. Park and Dr. Tapper. They performed several surgeries on my mother and they treated her with wonderful care. I couldn’t have asked for a better practice to handle my mothers case.

Dr. Itriago performed an emergency surgery on me in September of 2018 (Perforated Colon) as well as 2 additional surgeries over the following 4 months. He is an absolutely amazing surgeon and treated me as well as any doctor ever has. He is a consummate professional who is as thorough as I have ever seen in any field. He worked with me in every fashion possible to get me back to work in a timely fashion. His assistant, Trish, was amazing as well. She seamlessly coordinated supplies and FMLA paperwork to ease the burden on me emotionally. While being treated by this office and in the hospital, I was also seen by Dr. Tapper, Dr. Alpendre and Dr. Grandhige. Dr. Tapper is such a nice man who explains things clearly and sets about getting results. Dr. Alpendre went out of his way to see me in the office when I was concerned about a related issue from a completely different doctor (Family Doctor). This act of kindness and care ended up catching a Staph infection early. Dr. Grandhige assisted me with what I believed to be a complication that ended up not being one. His tone and understanding of how to explain the issue to me is what calmed me. Being a mostly healthy person for over 40 years, the value of a good medical staff is always noticed and appreciated.This office is as good as they come and while I hope I never have another issue, I can assure you that this is the only office me or my family will ever come to if needed.

What can I say but Dr Mino & Trish are more than wonderful ...I was feeling bad ...and Dr Mino was So kind .....he had to bend over ( I was in a wheelchair cause I felt sick ) to remove the bracket from my stoma ....and not only that but he was at St Joseph's Hospital for the whole month of February And again because I felt sick..... He actually came to his Brandon office just for me....What more can I say...Wow !!!!! He's GR8 !!!!
