We do believe there is a particular time and place for off-market or pocket listings, but we don’t see the logic or benefit for a regular seller. How could less eyes on your home ever make it worth more? Exclusivity?
A private listing network’s main focus is to create dual agency transactions for the brokerage. If your home can only be seen and shown by the listing brokerage’s agents, how will the seller ever know if they could have done better?
And listing them only one national portal does not translate to all buyers using another portal finding it. Fewer eyes, fewer opportunities, less money. At Streamline, we aren’t trying to hoard our own listings. We love working with all of the brokerages out there on the other side of our deals.
