Stevee Excavation

Stevee came out to my house one evening after I received a very high estimate from a new-to-me plumbing company to replace my sewer line which had backed up and was suspected to be cracked or crushed. I was seeking a second opinion at the recommendation of my plumbing consultant (Brandon from Stryker Plumbing and Handyman Services), so found Stevee. Right away, Stevee wanted to be sure that the quote I had was for precise work. Did the company know where the cracks were? Or how far they were digging down? What kind of camera did they use? Stevee looked at the places in my yard where the other company had recommended draining my storm water, and he did not agree with them. Stevee also pointed out a few warning signs in my crumbling foundation from the gutters that I did not have connected. He was very concerned for my gutter system, that it was contributing to my sewer line problem. He recommended another septic company he works with (Timmy's McKinney Septic Service) who could come out to estimate the sewer line replacement, who I met with Tim an hour later. For a very reasonable rate, I had McKinney Septic Service use 2 cameras to measure exactly where the problems were in my sewer line so that they could give me a better estimate. Stevee's consulting work for me - which he did at no cost and did not even provide an estimate because he recommended his colleague in the industry for the sewer line replacement - saved me a lot of money, and formulated a plan that I have begun implementing. I have since done re-routing work of the storm water on my property, and he was right. If I had done what the original plumbing company had suggested, I would have flooded my driveway. I appreciate Stevee's honest approach that was for my betterment, and not his pocketbook.

I met Steve when he came out for an estimate on replacing a patio. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly, he was honest and ethical. I’ve had many contractors stop by claiming emergency repairs were needed (at premium rates of course) for solutions that didn’t make a lot of sense to me, but we call on experts when we aren’t one. He explained everything clearly and advised to hold off on the work, as we really didn’t need it at this time. I was impressed with being treated as a future costumer and spending time on educating and networking, not a quick buck. It’s so hard to find people like that, and I look forward to giving him a call back when it’s time to start our project!

Steve and team did a great job installing a new foundation drain to divert water away from the house. I would definitely recommend him for any job. We met, he offered suggestions and finished the job in a couple of days.

Steve was very professional to deal with. They completely tore down a house and removed all of the debris in 2 days. Very fast and great work, would recommend.

Stevee is a true and trustworthy professional. He knows what he is doing and is straightforward and honest. He helped me out of a jam on something small in which many would not be bothered. I don’t recommend people lightly. I will definitely be using him again!

I hired Steve to complete the excavation and site work for a detached garage to be built into a hillside. The hillside was solid rock. Steve had the experience and equipment necessary to complete the job. Despite the inherent unknowns of excavating a hillside of solid rock, Steve was clear and transparent in the price and always provided an estimate before proceeding to the next phase.

I needed a blacktop driveway removed, additional dirt removed and 4 - 5 inches of item 4 put down and compacted. Steve did an excellent job, was very professional, and completed the job quickly. I have no hesitation recommending Stevee Excavation.
