Stevee came out to my house one evening after I received a very high estimate from a new-to-me plumbing company to replace my sewer line which had backed up and was suspected to be cracked or crushed. I was seeking a second opinion at the recommendation of my plumbing consultant (Brandon from Stryker Plumbing and Handyman Services), so found Stevee. Right away, Stevee wanted to be sure that the quote I had was for precise work. Did the company know where the cracks were? Or how far they were digging down? What kind of camera did they use?
Stevee looked at the places in my yard where the other company had recommended draining my storm water, and he did not agree with them. Stevee also pointed out a few warning signs in my crumbling foundation from the gutters that I did not have connected. He was very concerned for my gutter system, that it was contributing to my sewer line problem.
He recommended another septic company he works with (Timmy's McKinney Septic Service) who could come out to estimate the sewer line replacement, who I met with Tim an hour later. For a very reasonable rate, I had McKinney Septic Service use 2 cameras to measure exactly where the problems were in my sewer line so that they could give me a better estimate.
Stevee's consulting work for me - which he did at no cost and did not even provide an estimate because he recommended his colleague in the industry for the sewer line replacement - saved me a lot of money, and formulated a plan that I have begun implementing. I have since done re-routing work of the storm water on my property, and he was right. If I had done what the original plumbing company had suggested, I would have flooded my driveway. I appreciate Stevee's honest approach that was for my betterment, and not his pocketbook.
