Stephens Emergency Dentist

I had been having severe headaches for about three weeks that finally turned into a toothache in back molar. I thought I could tough it out and things would get better, it didn’t. I ended up going to the emergency room Sunday morning for the pain they tried to put a block in my jaw to no avail. At 11pm on that Sunday night I looked on google and found Dr. Brett Stephen’s office hours were open until 11:30pm. I thought “No way” I had my wife call bc I could barely talk bc of the pain, and I had to keep cold water in my mouth bc the nerve was burning, to my shock Dr.Stephens answered and asked if we wanted to come in now, we packed up all the kids and drove like the wind from Utah county. When we got there he was waiting at the door, he rushed me in. Let me preface with I’ve never had a filling, cavity or a tooth pulled (only wisdom surgery but I was put under anesthesia) So I was pretty nervous, not knowing what to expect. The doctor explained everything very thoroughly. He showed me an x-ray that he shot of my jaw, explained exactly what he was going to do and gave me an option, but while I was thinking, he actually numbed my mouth and my jaw so I could not feel my tooth anymore, it was instant relief from that excruciating pain that I had been dealing with for so long it was not painful and he knew exactly what I needed. He gave me a few minutes to talk with my wife if I wanted the tooth pulled or I needed a crown if he pulled my tooth, he would do an implant. We decided to go with the pulling tooth route in less than 30 minutes I was out of his office and feeling so much better I could actually think and function I was amazed. I didn’t have a ton of pain just from the removal. I actually didn’t feel anything. Dr. Stephen’s Is one of the last good ones out there he is so kind and it’s amazing on a Sunday night in Utah of all places you could find someone like him open and willing to take care of you. I would recommend him to anyone he checked up on me via text the next day and his office has continued to check in to make sure I’m doing well. I will never go anyplace else other than this dentist office ever again thank you to all the staff and his wife for being committed to their craft and being great people. It’s been a week since it happened and my mouth is healing perfectly no issues whatsoever. I wish I could do 10 stars instead of five.

I found Dr.Stephens in 2018 when I lost a crown over a holiday weekend and needed emergency dental services. Since then Dr.Stephens has been my only dentist and has helped on multiple occasions with my emergency dental needs. To say I have bad teeth is an understatement and having spent thousands of dollars over the years and seen countless dentists, I can say that Dr.Stephens is the best I’ve ever been to. I’ve never had a dentist take the time as he does to listen to my concerns and kindly address my fears. He is the absolute best with shots and I have literally taken naps while getting dental work done by Dr.Stephens. I still get nervous going in for dental work due to dental ptsd from previous dentists but it quickly fades once I’m in the chair and he’s there to calm my nerves and put me at ease. In my experience and opinion, he is the best dentist I’ve ever gone to and I now travel from out of state just to have him do my dental work because he is that good. Also, his crowns are phenomenal! Thank you Dr. Stephens!!

Dr.Stephens is more than AMAZING! I had some really bad IM SAYING TERRIBLE TO THE POINT THAT I WAS CRYING LIKE A BABY tooth pain 10/02 at 8:25pm i arrived at 9:04pm and by 9:30 i was out the door feeling 100%! My family was helping me call places to try to get me in ASAP and all of these “24/7” are NOTHING but LIES! They either didn’t answer or weren’t working anymore which is BS because if it says “24/7” IT SHOULD BE 24/7! I randomly found Dr.Stephens on google I called him and all I said is I’m having some bad pain on my lower left and he didn’t even think about it he said “come in” thank the lord for amazing dentist like him! Dr.Stephens did his job and made me feel 100% better in 26 minutes! I 100% RECOMMEND him! Thank you Dr.Stephens once again we appreciate you!

Dr. Stephens is truly the best! He was able to keep me completely calm even through the entire process of having my tooth pulled. He was very understanding and explained each step making sure I was comfortable with each step of the process. Dr. Stephens may have just cured my fear of dentists. I'm truly appreciative of the time and care that was provided! Thank you thank you!

I had severe tooth pain before a big holiday and a big trip. Dr. Stephens was fantastic at communicating with me. He was able to address my concerns and I asked for Emergency Services and asked to pay for a small fee so that I could be seen as soon as possible. (I couldn't wait for a normal dentist appointment). This was so worth it! He was able to tell me my options and I chose a root canal which made my pain better immediately. Then he did my crown and I am so thankful for his services and his team. If I were in this same position again with severe pain then I would call him again, 10 times out of 10. So thankful for him. He runs his practice as a caring person, and not as a machine which is important to recognize also when scheduling and when communicating with him.

My dad was experiencing extreme pain on a Sunday at 11:00 pm. I called Dr. Stephens, he picked up right away. I explained the situation and also explained that we were about an hour away from his clinic. He told us to go anyway. After a few minutes we canceled the emergency appointment, my dad thought he could hold on until the morning (he couldn't). Then we reached out again to make the emergency appointment again. He was kind enough to accept it even though we had canceled it a few minutes ago. By 11:50 my dad was being seen by Dr. Stephens. We are very thankful, he was very professional but also very polite and understanding.

My wife had been experiencing toothaches for several days. We aren’t from the Salt Lake area but were passing through late Sunday evening. Her tooth pain became unbearable so we called Dr. Stephens. He met us immediately and took care of the problematic tooth. He was very professional and friendly from the emergency call to the actual procedure and payment. His emergency fees are very reasonable and he sent everything to our insurance for us to be reimbursed. We would recommend Dr. Stephens to anyone in need of an excellent dentist!

Wow! I wish there were more people out there like Dr. Brett Stephen’s. I called him with a dental emergency and within 20 minutes I was at his office on a Saturday. So friendly and extremely kind him and his assistant took very good care of me especially because I was super nervous. Thank you to both of you for turning a bad experience into an experience where I met two amazing people that took very good care of me. Thank you so much.

Huge MAHALO to Dr Stephen’s!!! I was visiting some family in Utah and had a long 6 hr flight the next morning back to Hawai’i and had the worst tooth ache ever. I tried taking every over the counter medication, nothing worked. After calling over a dozen dentist at 3am it was a blessing that he answered my call and came in to get my tooth treated so I wouldn’t be in my pain my entire flight. Bra you da man! He was great! My husband was miserable all night, made it to morning and we called and Dr Stephens got us right in and taken care of! I hope we don’t have to but we know where to go if we’re in that situation again!
