I am very grateful for the ER doctors and staff. They are very good at what they do. However, for dental emergencies this is typically not the best place to go. It's not there lane. They do not know how to diagnose dental disease. They don't know how to treat dental disease. They cannot treat dental disease (it is illegal to practice dentistry without a dental license). You will leave with the same problem you arrived with. You will be instructed to see a dentist ASAP. So save some money and start where you can finish...the emergency dentist.
