As a first time Puppy Parent, I was skeptical if I wanted to sign up for classes that will help train my puppy. After browsing through so many different options, I decided to go with Believe in Dog and it’s probably been one of THE best decisions I have ever made. My pup, Remington, just finished Puppy Class Part One. They teach the basics such as sit, down, leave it, etc and it’s about 6 weeks long, meeting once a week. In those weeks, I have seen such a difference not just in my puppy, but in myself. I feel so much more confident in teaching my dog and exercising all the things we’ve learned in class. And, I just haaaave to give a HUGE shoutout to both Ms. Kate and Ms. Jae who not only guided us throughout but are genuinely passionate in what they do and it shows immensely in the love they give to the pups who love them just as much. It’s an investment to have a puppy and I hope if you’re reading this and are on the fence if you should or shouldn’t sign up, one thing is certain — Believe in Dog is worth it. We can’t wait to sign up for Puppy Class Part Two!

Every time we walk in Believe in Dog we get renewed hope in making it through puppyhood and adolescence with our huge and continuing to grow German Shepherd. Thank you Believe In Dog!! Rocky and his pawrents love everyone who works there. A BIG SHOUT OUT to Stephanie, Megan and Alyssa. Reactive Rover class has really helped all us. And we made it through puppy stage with the Puppy Day School program and continue with Enriched Doggie Day Care with Jessica and Pedram. And of course Joanna has a gift with every dog and great suggestions. It all started with a phone call to Roxanna who helped explain everything and make it easy. Stephanie said in the first Reactive Rover class "after these classes you WILL see a change in your beloved dogs but for SURE you will see a change in yourselves." Wow! So true. We thought there would be a magic potion and all would be calm. Nope. But we are making progress and we have all improved. We want to be more comfortable on walks. We want to be less reactive. At first we (us and Rocky) would explode at the smallest sounds. People, lawn mowers, cars and trucks passing by, birds landing on the fence, another dog within 100 yards. Forget about it! Flooding with stimulus does not work with dogs. It only made things worse. We worried other people would think "Man they can't handle their dog." We now know he is not a bad dog and we are not bad pawrents. Quite the opposite. Rocky just wants to love and be loved. He wants to play and the leash or fence is restricting him from running over to other dogs and people. With the help of Reactive Rover class we are now equipped with tools to help Rocky and especially us. We understand more of what is going on in Rocky's mind and mostly us. The very last class we saw HUGE improvement with Rocky and how we react to his reactivity. We learned it is okay to "begin and begin again and if necessary begin again - again." It's a process, not a product. We know for sure Rocky was a gift from God. We will never give up on him. We will love him every single day for all of his life. We are Believers! Thank you dear people of Believe of Dog!! With belief and deepest gratitude, from Mitzie, Phil and Rocky Danielson

Honestly, BIDT has been incredible. I found them online and signed up for Puppy Class 1. I was a little nervous about starting before my pup had all his vaccines, but I’m so glad I didn’t wait. He stayed healthy, had only positive experiences, and learned to socialize with both new puppies and people right away. Our trainer, Ashley, was fantastic—clear, patient, and really skilled at teaching things I didn’t even realize were possible at this stage. My pup picked up so many useful skills, and we had a lot of fun along the way. We’re now in Puppy Class 2 and already looking forward to the intermediate level. The classes have strengthened our bond, given my pup confidence, and made training an enjoyable part of our routine. I can’t recommend BIDT highly enough.

We are so grateful to trainer Valerie and the entire team at Believe in Dog for helping us bring out the very best in our rescue dog, Phoebe. We first started taking classes in September 2024 and have continued taking weekly classes throughout the year. Humans and dogs alike have learnt new skills, grown in confidence, and developed a great bond! Valerie is knowledgeable, patient, and positive instructor! We especially job her doggie fitness class and have taken it twice. Looking forward to more classes together!!

Mabel just graduated from Puppy Class part 1 and we could not be happier with her progress or the staff and program at Believe In Dog. Mabel moved from timid to confident in just 6 weeks, and we learned so much about how to keep her on that path (spoiler alert: cheese). Seriously, the skills were broken down so we could understand and teach her the basics as well as some fun tricks. I like that they offer weekend classes which really helps those of us who live in the suburbs or work long hours!

Believe in Dog is the best thing we have ever done for our dog and for ourselves as dog owners. Our dog, Theo, is a rescue with an unknown history, but we discovered that he was a nervous and timid boy. We heard great things about BIDT through our friend and decided to make a phone call and it changed our lives forever. They specialize in puppy socialization and enrichment, but they can also assess your situation and pup and offer sessions for reactive pups and confidence building classes like nose work and doggie fitness! All of the trainers are so amazing and Theo loves going here. If you aren’t sure how BIDT can help you, call them and find out. They offer so many resources to help educate and guide dog owners too!

LOVED this training class! We had our 11 month old Great Dane/Lab mix take the adult basic manners class and she loved it. We enjoyed getting to bond with her more through class time and at home training. Staff is always amazing. Valerie led a great class and was always helpful when we had questions over our dog's behavior or interactions.

We took Stella through adult basic manners training and it was phenomenal! Practicing cues with our high energy girl gave us a common language for communication. It’s the best thing you can do with your new pup!

We absolutely love Believe in Dog! Our little Dottie just graduated her second class and we are so looking forward to more sessions. The facility, philosophy and trainers are the best in Houston. These people CARE about dogs - they are my people.
