Stefan's Building

Stefan built a single-storey extension across the back of our house with a pitched tiled roof, vaulted ceiling and Velux windows, as well as removing internal walls and installing three steel beams. From start to finish, his knowledge and professionalism gave us confidence in what is a major structural project. He kept us informed throughout and was very proactive with building control, making sure inspections and sign-offs happened at the right time. He’s excellent at working through challenges and finding practical solutions — always keeping things moving, but never cutting corners or rushing work. We lived in the house during the build, and Stefan was considerate, tidy and mindful of the disruption, which made a difficult period much easier to manage. The end result is a beautiful open family space that has completely transformed how we use our home. Most importantly, we feel very confident in the quality and structural integrity of the work. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stefan to anyone planning building or renovation work.

Internal renovations: 3 Walls and the chimney breast removed, RSJ beams installed, replastered and painted in Cambridge. Stefan was amazing, totally reshaped our home and made it look wonderful. We really appreciated his professionalism, insight and expertise. And how tidy he was even during the demolition. He has a great network of architects, structural engineers, plumbers, electricians and the like too. Very happy with the transformation and would recommend highly.

Stefan is seriously the best! He not only tore down our old masonry wall and put up a new stud one for a bigger kitchen as well as moving an opening for our under stairs, but he's just a total gem. Our dog absolutely loved him, and definitely missed him once he was done! Stefan's skills are top-notch – the plastering he did is the smoothest surface i’ve ever seen. Plus, he's super tidy, cleaning up every day which was great while we were living in a building zone and meant our dog could walk around safely at the end of each day. Can't thank him enough for going the extra mile to help us out. Renovations are so stressful and it made a huge difference knowing we had someone who we trusted. If you need a someone who's not just great at his job but also a genuinely lovely person, Stefan is your guy! Highly, highly recommend!

We asked Stefan to knock through a kitchen wall as well as remove a shower upstairs. Stefan always turned up when he said he would, and we were very impressed by how he checked everything with the authorities to make sure that the project met the regulations and was safe. Stefan also made sure that he protected the work areas and cleaned up after the work. Following this project, we also asked Stefan for some advise and he was always helpful! Stefan has done loads of work for us. We first got him in to put up new ceilings and for plastering work during our house renovation. Since then, he's also painted all our walls, put up fences in the garden, installed a window fascia... He works hard and delivers the results in a timely fashion. I was especially impressed by his decorating work, where he spent a lot of time on preparation, with a great outcome. On top of all that, he's a really nice guy. I would definitely use his services again.
