I work in healthcare and have very little experience with body piercings in general so when my 15 year old daughter started dropping repeated hints and requests for permission to get another set of ear lobe piercings and a navel piercing in the months leading up to her birthday I was, at first, a little hesitant to consent. After doing a little local research and having the confidence of knowing this was something my kiddo REALLY wanted and had put a lot of thought into herself, I decided to book an appointment at Steel N Ink. Tayah was AMAZING! She was not only helpful, professional, knowledgeable and skilled but her kindness, patience, humor and gentle but confident approach put my daughter right at ease despite some pre-piercing excitement and a few expected anticipatory jitters. Tayah also took the time to ask pertinent questions, make knowledgeable recommendations and provide us with all the answers to questions we thought to ask and several we would never have thought to ask on our own. We both left with smiles on our faces and no question over whether we made the right decision to book with Tayah at Steel N Ink. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for cleanliness, professionalism, skill and overall pleasant and positive experience.

I came in to get a piercing and I was sooo happy with my experience there! The piercer was so sweet and explained everything to me so I knew what to expect. She was so thourough and you could just tell she had so much pride in her work. I will be telling everyone I know to go there and get pierced by her. Not only is she gorgeous and so kind, she really knows her stuff! I am super impressed! Thank you so much!!

I came in to get my right nostril pierced after already having my left. Tayah did a wonderful job lining them up to be symmetrical. She was super professional and personable! Piercing was fast and not painful. Will be coming back for her expertise.

Can’t recommend this place unless you are looking for expensive jewelry. I paid in total 122$ for my two nostrils, and that was the lowest price. When I got there, the piercer, Tayah, directed me to the 40$ jewelry immediately. I then asked about the 1/2 titanium domes, which they clearly state they have when you book. Her response was “if we have them”, well they didn’t. So I said I would be fine with the titanium disks, again they didn’t have them. I then said I would like to cancel since I am going to be changing them to hoops when they heal and don’t want to spend 80$+ on something I will never use again. Any piercer should have the basics if they are offering the appointment. Then she’s said they had 3mm disks instead of the 2mm disks after I suggested canceling, which is what I went with. The whole interaction seemed to annoy her. Then she got annoyed because she couldn’t find the disks in the system. She was not the friendliest, maybe she was just having a bad day. She made this experience feel more like a chore and ruined the fun of getting a new piercing. Honestly wished I would have picked a different place or have left.

I fell in love with this place and my piercer James! My name is also James so that’s a plus, right away I knew I loved the guy. He was honest, real, to the point, kind, attractive of course. This was such a fun and quick experience with getting pierced! Great info here shared I’ve never heard from other piercers, I felt safe, seen and understood. I need to come up with another excuse to just come in again, it really was that cool of an experience.

Tayah is great! I had a super positive experience with this piercer, and my piercing healed super well in a place where I haven't been able to get piercings healed in the past. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Took advice from a few friends and decided to make the 4 hour round trip to eau Claire from Minneapolis. Wow! Truly impressed. My appointment was with Tayah and they were so welcoming and knowledgeable. I typically go with gold body jewelry and usually get pierced in Minneapolis. This place is definitely cheap for gold body jewelry. Some of the same pieces I got quoted prices in Minneapolis were significantly cheaper at steel and ink. Thank you Tayah. I will be coming back for all piercings here forward.

It was the BEST first ear peircing experience ever! They were so nice about it and supportive! Even when the needle went in, so honest and supportive!! They turned out very nice and definitely would come back
