I had a very good experience with Star State Diesel. When I arrived on Monday, they got me right in and took the time to diagnose the issue thoroughly. I pulled in convinced it was wheel bearings. It wasn’t. With careful diagnosis—ruling out issues one by one—they traced it to the air suspension sitting low, which was causing the driveshaft to be misaligned and rub. That kind of sleuthing saved me from chasing the wrong repair, and I really appreciated the attention to detail. Tuesday was parts logistics. The correct airbags for a 2004 motorhome aren’t easy to source, and we ultimately had to order them from out of state and overnight them for a Wednesday noon Delivery. Wednesday and Thursday were the installation plus a quality-control check to make sure everything was perfect. They were a little optimistic up front on time and cost, but it all worked out in the end. On top of that, everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful throughout the process. Solid work, strong diagnostics, and I’d highly recommend them.

Mannie and Dave are amazing. They came out to Big Bend NP in the middle of the night to fix a broken leaf spring, followed us to safety into our campground and returned 2 days later to install new leaf springs and axle. 4 days later we pulled into their shop in Fort Stockten so they could check brakes and get us safely back to adventuring. We can't speak highly enough of Star State Diesel Inc. Thank you.

We were stranded about 30 miles south of Ft Stockton and needed a simple part. None of the parts stores would deliver so we called these guys and they were amazing. Andy was so kind and hopped right over to the parts store, picked up our part and got it out to us. He was super helpful and I’m not sure what we would have done without his assistance. He even followed us all the way to town to make sure we made it. If you’re broke down and stranded don’t hesitate to call them!

One of most thorough and hard working crews I've encountered in 48 states over the three years I been otr trucking!! Better service and I saved more than a few bucks for top notch repair!! Come here if u have a 3 tire blowout like me!

Emanuel was amazing, very caring, and understood our situation. He went out of his way to help us as quickly as possible and all we needed was a coolant cap that popped off, probably due to not being tightened properly. He had David another mechanic run one over ,out of the goodness of his heart, to us to get us back on the road. Amazing shop and team, we definitely recommend and when we need any truck service in the future when passing through on I-10 through Fort Stockton we will utilize their services. Very professional and considerate and thank yall so much for getting us rolling again! You are Life savers!

Why I do recommend this shop/Рекомендую и вот почему: We arrived at his shop with a DEF issue, and our semi-truck(VOLVO) was derated to 5 mph. It's been over a week since my driver left your shop and I just wanted to share a few thoughts. Andy is a very polite and respectful person who clearly knows his job and has solid experience working with people. The shop left only positive impressions and I definitely recommend their service. Prices are reasonable communication is clear and professional and most importantly the service is fast. He doesn't let your truck sit there for days. What makes his work stand out is that he doesn't just fix and forget — he double-checks everything before handing it over. That shows real responsibility. I also have experience in this business so I know what I'm talking about. If you're looking to save some money he’ll help you with the right solution so you don’t waste your budget. Truck repairs are usually expensive and it's not easy to find someone who’s skilled and has a proper shop with parts on hand. Andy thanks again for your help. Great people and great service! I came to the town last night with trailer problems- the plate was broken and it was hard to get the parts. The bro named Andy took my calls and took my trailer and found a nice guy who was a master of welding, worked together to make the job done . Thank you Andy and the master of welding!!!

This review is long overdue but these guys are very nice and worked day and night to get us back on the road. One of the best mechanics I have ever been too. Where very honest and upfront about everything.
