Stag Moor House

This was truly one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed in. The view is nothing short of breathtaking, and the home itself is cozy, warm, and exceptionally well equipped. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need to prepare meals, along with tea and coffee. The welcome basket filled with fruit and snacks was an unexpected delight—and a lifesaver for my hungry kiddos before we made it to the grocery store! My children had ample room, both indoors and outdoors, to explore, play, and simply be kids. Our evenings ended perfectly with a home-cooked dinner followed by a wonderful fire. After a day of hiking, my little ones especially adored relaxing in the soaking tub. We look forward to returning again very soon. The local grocery store is well stocked and only five minutes away. Many restaurants close early, so plan for an early dinner. Be sure to download your maps before leaving Wi-Fi areas, as service can be spotty on the isle. And don’t forget to watch for the morning rainbows stretching across the horizon—they’re magical.

Stag Moor home is a dreamer’s getaway! Gorgeous home amidst acres and acres of greens, this was such a comfortable stay for us. Not only was it uniquely positioned for us to enjoy the view and lengths of the isle in Portree but the owners are amazing hosts, marvellous architects and ensured they went beyond our expectations for the stay. The home was well stocked, well maintained and with latest equips. The hosts were also quick to respond on a local query I had. I would highly recommend this beauty for anyone visiting the Isle of Skye and is looking for a home away from home.

We stayed at this beautiful home on 9/9 & 9/10. The location was absolutely perfect...close enough to everything but far enough away to escape, relax and unwind. The hosts put a lot of time and thought into the amenities and the attention to detail. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch and we enjoyed it very much. We really enjoyed coming back to the house after a long day, lighting a fire, and enjoying a glass of wine before bed. The views of the moor were absolutely stunning. My only complaint is that we didn't stay the entire week here! Do yourself a favor and book 1/2 a week at the very least. You won't be sorry!

Five stars are not enough! The Stag Moor House was the PERFECT home base for our family of five's (2 adults, 3 teens) Isle of Skye adventures. The location is convenient for a quick trip to Portree for eating out, shopping, or buying groceries. PLUS it is convenient to looping the island for great hikes and adventures. The highlights were: THE VIEW!!! from the home, a full washer and dryer in a beautiful laundry room, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, luxury restrooms, modern furniture and conveniences (like an Amazon Echo Alexa Speaker), parking directly next to the front door, a cozy wood burning fireplace for evenings spent relaxing and enjoying the view! Hosts communicated efficiently and were very helpful. Don't hesitate. Book it NOW!

Simply amazing from the perfect location, the phenomenal house itself. It has everything and the views as well. Great base to explore SKye - we simply cannot fault it
