St Peters Lodge Dental Practice

I find St. Peter’s Lodge Dental Practice to be a very professional concern with high standards and yet the ability to treat me with confidence and respect along the way. I’m 84 years of age but they behave in an age appropriate manner explaining their plan for that session in advance so I know what to expect. The staff are amazing. I know them well and I find the surgery to be a happy place, an experience I enjoy from start to finish. Long may it continue! Ann Reeve

I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service. I called needing an urgent appt due to gum pain. Was able to get an slot for the next day. This happened not once but twice (so not luck). Kudos to the front desk team who are so nice and for my dentist Harshal.

As someone who rarely visits dentists I was a little apprehensive about having dental treatment but the staff were very nice and helpful and very professional. The practice was very clean and organised. I was most impressed and I will not hesitate to recommend you.

Complete waste of time. I visited for a quote for an implant. They failed to tell me that a full medical history would need to be filled out before the appointment. When I informed them that I had a defibrillator fitted they refused to give me a quote, but still charged me £100 for the privilege. If you need implants, do yourself a favour and go to Old Park Dental Practice in Hitchin. They are specialists and a fraction of the price of anywhere local to St Albans.

Only had negative interactions with this practice. I’ve had a lot of work done here, and after getting the work assessed at another dental practice, most of it needs redoing. Not what you expect when paying £2,000+ for a root canal and crown. They’re very reactive as opposed to proactive, would prefer to try and fix the problem, rather than preventing it from coming up on the first place. Dentists have gotten too comfortable there, try and get you in and out, feels very much like an NHS dentist, but you’re paying 5x the cost. Definitely one of the worst private dental practices, not the level of service you expect and definitely not the level of expertise either. Not only that, when asking for my full dental history to send to my new practice, the receptionist was clueless and unsure whether she could send it to me, ridiculous given GDPR obligations. My only regret is how long I stayed with this practice, there’s plenty of other private dental practices in St Albans that would be a much better choice than this one.

I had a great experience at St Peter’s lodge dental surgery. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful from the moment I walked in. They made me feel comfortable and well taken care of, answering all my questions with patience and care. The surgery itself was smooth and professional, and I really appreciated the warm, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!

It's the best private dentist you'll ever find. Easy to book, don't have to wait long and the staff are so lovely and give the best tips to look after your teeth.
