Do not bring your pet to Dr. Narula.
We visited for a follow-up after our dog had been prescribed medication by another doctor. Dr. Narula came in without reviewing our dog’s medical history, showing no knowledge of our dog’s condition or the medication previously given.
He spent a long time examining our dog. The dog did not make a sound, yet he squeezed the dog’s testicles until the dog cried in pain, and then said it was a tumor. We found this approach and diagnosis very alarming.
We asked him, “Considering our dog is already old, should we perform a castration surgery?” Dr. Narula responded, “Do you know when COVID-19 will end?” We were completely baffled. Was this because we are Asian? We were just asking for his professional opinion as a doctor about whether the surgery was necessary, and instead he brought up COVID-19.
The experience was stressful for both us and our dog, and we left feeling frustrated and unsafe. In our opinion, his communication and handling of our dog were unprofessional, and we would not recommend bringing pets to this clinic.
