The Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra is the main venue for the festival, with idols of Sharada Devi and the Navadurgas (nine forms of Goddess Durga) being worshipped.
Grand procession: On Vijaya Dashami, the idols of the goddesses are carried in a dazzling procession with over 75 colorful tableaux.
Folk dances: A major attraction is the performance of folk dances like the Pili Vesha (tiger dance), along with lion and bear dances.
"Common man's Dasara": Unlike the government-sponsored Mysore Dasara, the Mangalore festivities are funded by local devotees and philanthropists, earning it the nickname "common man's Dasara".
