We had a patio poured 1 year ago by SCE. Steve showed up timely to bid the project and was able to fit us in the schedule. He confirmed what we wanted done having the slab poured “evenly” to the edge of our house. He set up his men to do the job then left. A gutter spout was on the edge of the house but our understanding was that it wouldn’t be a problem. Once the guys finished the project I went to check it out and it was very clearly poured at a slant. When a table was placed on it we had to use 2 inch lifters on one side to make the table level so things wouldn’t roll off of it. I text Steve about my concern and he appreciated the criticism and was sorry we weren’t 100% satisfied with the outcome. I told him in the future better communication would have helped the whole situation which could have been fixed in just a few minutes removing the gutter. I waited a year to see if I could get over the imperfect job and couldn’t so finally had a company come to have the entire slab lifted costing another $2,000 in addition to the original cost of the installation; the only other option was to tear out the slanted patio and completely replace it. I Recommend very clear communication and watching the installation all of the way thru. I have included the pictures of the slant, the fix and also a pic of how high the slab was lifted.
