We are extremely happy with our pool! Our yard was a challenging place to install a pool, but Splash made it happen. Although we encountered a few issues along the way, they were always resolved to our satisfaction. The staff was pleasant to work with and always met our requests. I would highly recommend using them for your future needs. Below are some photos from start to finish!

We’ve been working with Splash since May to have our pool installed. It is now November, almost December and I have nothing but a leaf-filled pool and a gigantic mud hole for a back yard. My couch and floors have been destroyed and stained with mud. Communication has been absolutely horrific, billing has been even worse and service, well…if I had to choose we would NOT work with this company again. Hey Phil - still waiting to swim in the pool you said would be ready by July, August at the latest!!

We live on the Chesapeake Bay, and if it weren’t for Splash Pools, we probably wouldn’t have a pool today. Prior to finding Splash, we had several pool companies visit our home for estimates, and nearly all of them told us the same thing: “You won’t be able to get a permit being this close to the water.” Splash, however, was the most accommodating. They said, “Let’s try to get the permit, and if it doesn’t work out, we’ll refund your initial deposit, minus the permit fee.” Sure enough, six months later, we had our permit. The process required us to jump through several hoops with the County, but Splash kept us updated every step of the way. I’d also like to highlight one of the owners, Sean Locklear. Sean handled the administrative side of things—contracts, ordering materials, change orders—and I was very impressed with his responsiveness. He answered emails promptly, often after hours or even on weekends. Like any construction project, there were changes and minor issues that came up along the way. For example, we needed to add a small retaining wall around part of our pool. Sean gave us a very fair price for the addition, and in the end, the wall extended further than what we had originally paid for. We also had a minor issue when one of their landscaping employees accidentally hit our underground dog fence with a skid steer—despite being made aware of its placement. Sean immediately took responsibility and covered the cost of the repair without hesitation. The pool itself was installed impressively fast. It was in the ground and filled with water the same day in early March. From there, the remaining work—including the concrete collar, bonding, coping, pavers, electrical work, black aluminum fencing, an additional paver patio under our deck, county inspections, and “pool school”—was completed in about two and a half months. Now that we’ve spent the entire summer enjoying the pool, we couldn’t be happier. Everything has been running smoothly since the handover after pool school. Maintenance has been simple with the combination of a surface robot and an underwater robot that keeps the walls and floor spotless. I handle the water testing myself using a Taylor K2006 test kit and have had no issues keeping the water balanced or algae-free. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our experience. We’re especially grateful to Splash Pools for taking the time to see if a permit was possible rather than moving on to an “easier” project. Their dedication and follow-through truly made the difference for us.

I just want to say that I am so glad that we chose Splash to install our pool last May. We (my husband) did a ton of research and after deciding on a fiberglass pool vs gunite, we are very happy with everything about our experience with this company. As 1st time pool owners, we had lots of questions and concerns throughout the entire process. Everyone I spoke to either in person, email, text, or phone call was so happy and eager to answer my questions. From Chris our salesman, Lisa the office manager (and in my opinion, heart of the company) to Sean the owner. And guess what?? When I saw something I thought was being done incorrect or not to my expectations, they came out, looked at it and fixed it if it was wrong or explained to me in more detail what was going on! Amazing! At closing, I had to wait longer than expected for my pool over because it was made wrong twice. My pool was full of leaves! I just couldn't keep up. Splash insisted they would clean it before closing. We'll, the cover came in in November, I watched the guy (Jeromy I think. I'm sorry for not remembering) place the cover on without cleaning out the leaves as they had promised and I was devastated! All I could think about was the "swamp" I was going to see in April (today). Imagine my surprise when they came today with Nova Pool and Spa to open my pool. It was clean and clear!! Except for the normal few leaves and ton of pollen, the leaves were gone! They had come back at some point shortly after my closing and deep cleaned the pool as promised. So I know this was a long review but I just can't say enough good things about this company. But remember, communication is key. A pool is a huge financial purchase. Ask questions! No matter how big or small you might think the question is. Ask!

Splash Pools has a 5 star rating again and again because of their customer service. Chris their sales associate listened to our vision and worked within our budget. I’ve heard so many scary stories about pool builders and installation processes. Were there adjustments that needed to be made? Of course! This is with every pool build. What sets them apart is how Sean and his team communicate and how they ensure they are doing what is in our best interest. We weren’t stressed AT ALL through this process. We have a septic field and the regulations in Anne Arundel County are difficult. They made sure to work with the permits and County. Their contractors are respectful of you and your property. We went with the Wylela model and are very happy with the outcome! We also pivoted and ended up with the heater/chiller. Since our pool was installed in the winter, we never “opened” it, but they will be returning to open it in the spring! I am going to come back to this review when the pool is filled up, ready to open, and the furniture is out and finished. Zero regrets with Splash Pools. They truly care about their projects and clients. It shows.

Our experience with Splash has been amazing, from start to finish. The entire team is professional, customer focused and efficient. From the owners, sales team, office staff, and work crew the project management of our pool install was top notch. We love our pool and so happy that we choose Splash. Highly recommend.

March 2023: I reached out and spoke with Sean and team about installing a fiberglass pool. He was very knowledgeable about pools and has been in the business for several years. He listened to our needs and came up with a plan that we could be happy with. I would say that the pool cost was on the pricey end, but it was what I expected based on conversations with other pool contractors. We decided to go with Splash Fiberglass Pool Company and signed a commitment letter that same day. We did have to iron out some details on the final contract, but no major issues there! June 2023: We finally received all the necessary licenses, permits and HOA approvals to get started. The pool was installed on June 14th – what an exciting thing to watch!! The water was added on June 20th – the water went in fast! July 2023: Pool collar and coping was added in mid-July – no swimming for the 4th this year. Shortly after they added the pool tile – I was happy with the color, but the grout not so much! August 2023: Pool deck is in progress. They poured and smoothed out the concrete. Almost done. Unfortunately, there was a crack in the concrete. I immediately contacted Sean and he assured me that it would be repaired, but we needed to let the concrete set first. As of today, this is still an outstanding issue, but I’m confident Sean will get it done. He’s a man of his word! August 19th - We took our first swim and entertained family and friends until we closed the pool in mid-October. Sean’s team closed the pool and installed a nice pool cover. Final thoughts: I couldn’t be happier with the overall look of my new pool. Although, I didn’t get to enjoy it much in 2023, I know I will in 2024! It’s a beautiful San Juan pool and I know I will enjoy it for many years to come. One more note: Sean launched a newsletter that keeps us in touch with the latest and even provides us with cool recipes! I’m looking forward to them reopening my pool in May, so we can have many more fun times!
