Spice is closed for renovations until Oct 1, 2026

Took my 15-year-old son here,, he only had a plate of chips,,,, I had the pineapple fried rice with seafood and cashew nuts, I think the price is very reasonable 20 back or so more than the local market, but you’ve not got to fight for a table if you come here, we didn’t know but once we arrived we realised we’ve actually been here before two years ago,,, we are staying in the same street as this restaurant, so we will be returning one more or two more times before we leave Kata Beach,,,

Very friendly staff, everyone is so cheerful and helpful with choosing dishes from the menu, even in Russian. The midi and tom yum with large prawns are very tasty. The atmosphere is very cosy.

Read several reviews and they all gave 5 star. Would definitely agree, the service and food were both 1st class

The food is good, but I don't know why the crab meat is bitter, but overall it's not bad, and the service is very good.

The papaya salad was not even tasty considering I’m really hungry. Lemon fish was not worthy the long wait. Not to mentioned the instant noodles costs 160! Very disappointed.

Came here yesterday evening with my son and wife. Very friendly welcoming staff. No pressure to order or to get people in and out quickly. Menu choice was great and well priced. We had a green and red Thai curry and my son decided on a crab. We've never had a crab and had no idea what to do. The staff were amazing and offered to get all the meat which was really kind. My son wasn't 100% on it and they even brought him some fruit to get rid of the taste. All portion sizes were good and very fresh and authentic food. Overall amazing restaurant, clean, tidy, amazing staff. Would 100% reccomend to anyone!

We absolutely loved this hidden gem of a restaurant. It was by far one of the top 3 restaurants we have been to in Phuket! The food was excellent, real authentic, super delicious thai food. I had the Papaya salad and the Green curry. My one daughter had the Red Duck curry and the other on had a pizza. Everything was super delicious! The atmosphere was also great. If you’re in Kata, you have to try this cute place!

I highly recommend Spice by Sugar and Spice, a fantastic Thai restaurant tucked away in a side street off Kata Road. It's the best Thai food I've had in a long time. The Pad Thai is incredibly delicious, the red curry is a dream, and the Khao Soi, a Northern specialty, is outstanding. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Don't miss this gem!
