Absolutely unacceptable service that has left my family in a precarious and stressful situation while driving across the country. I came to Speedy Petey for what should have been a routine oil change. Instead, they rounded off the oil drain plug—a basic and fundamental task even the most junior mechanic should handle properly. Not only did they damage the bolt, they refused to take responsibility for it. This isn’t just about a stripped bolt. This happened right before a long-awaited family reunion trip, where we’re driving from Ontario to rural British Columbia. After their “service,” our car began leaking oil—half a litre lost within a 30-minute drive. We had to scramble to find a shop to fix the issue while traveling, ruining the evening and casting a shadow over the entire reunion. Now, we’re expected to drive all the way back to Ontario with a car we no longer trust—all because of this shop’s negligence. We’re talking about a long-distance, cross-country road trip with family members on board, now made risky and uncertain. To be clear: their mistake caused mechanical damage, delayed our plans, cost us additional money to fix, and significantly affected our family experience. And still, no apology, no ownership, no compensation. If you value your vehicle, your time, and your peace of mind—avoid this place at all costs. I will happily remove this review the moment the business takes responsibility for the damages they caused and makes it right. Until then, this review stays (See photo, car is covered in oil)

Writing this on behalf of a family friend who had a very disappointing experience here. They came in for a routine oil change, and the shop rounded off the drain plug - then refused to take responsibility. Maybe this place normally does decent work. Most customers probably won’t run into issues. But it’s how a business handles its mistakes that really shows its character, and in this case, the lack of accountability was reprehensible. This wasn’t just a minor error. The family was on a cross-country trip from Ontario to rural BC for a long-awaited reunion. Within 30 minutes of leaving, the car lost half a litre of oil. They had to get emergency repairs, missed part of the reunion, and are now driving all the way back in a vehicle they no longer trust. If management wants to save face, they should reach out and make it right. Until then, I can’t recommend a shop that won’t own its mistake

Just got an oil change for our Ford F-150 and couldn’t be happier. The service was quick, professional, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything was done efficiently, and they even checked a few other things without us asking. Highly recommend!

Such a scam!! The expensive automatic car wash just trickled some chemicals on my car it didn't even wash off the dust what a waste of money!!

I Moved here to Williams lake from Vancouver. After years and years of different not so great quick oil change places. Came here for the first time. In and out. Checked my diff, coolant, changed my oil. Didn't get upselled on countless stuff like other places. Super friendly staff. My invoice even includes pictures of everything and everywhere they checked or serviced. Not something you see for easy service places nowadays. 2018 Subaru WRX and I will come here again!

The owner (or person who claimed to be the owner)was extremely rude and ignorant. When i was told the cost i questioned the price as i have never paid that high of a price ever at this establishment. The boy claiming to be the owner called me a liar saying it was always the price, they looked it up and were proven that the last time i had had my oil changed it was about $70 cheaper. So instead of acknowledging this, he was more rude and said i was rude for because i pointed out that he should not be rude to customers. He then said he would not be doing my oil change. I never once said I would not pay it, i was just questioning the increase. Could just be the age of the boy he may learn customer service with time. I have always been treated well by staff here in the past it was a very disappointing interaction and experience there today. The initial staff that I interacted with were wonderful, helpful and friendly.

I've been getting oil changes at Speedy Petey's for years. The service has always been exceptional and the staff has always been quite knowledgeable and friendly. Keep up the awesome work guys!!! Yesterday, my Daughter and I went to Speedy for an oil change. The technician noticed that there was a warning light on and asked if we would like him to check why the light was on with a code reader. I said yes we would like that done but I need to know what it was going to cost before he does anything. I was shocked by his reply. He said it does not cost anything, it's part of the service!!! I naturally told him to go ahead. I then told him that just last week my Daughter was getting a tire change over at the shop where she gets all of the mechanical work on her vehicle and mentioned that this warning light was on. When she got her bill, there was an extra $160.00 added on to her bill because the mechanic did the exact thing the technician at Speedy did!!! Now get this , not only does Speedy provide this service for free, you don't even need to be getting work done on your vehicle to have this done. Just swing by the shop anytime and they will do it!!! How many other businesses do you know that provide this kind of service??? I bet you can count how many on one hand and still have room for more. Keep up the awesome work Speedy, you just earned two life long customers!!!

Came here the yesterday. Everyone was very professional and super informative. I have no knowledge of anything that has to do with engines but these amazing people explained to me and showed me how to check my own oil and such. Speedy service I definitely recommend this amazing crew of people ! I will be coming back again!! 😁

The crew was amazing and so helpful! They taught me a lot i didn't know about my car and were very detailed with my service. They even got me out super fast. Definitely will be back!
