Couldn't recommended Spark highly enough!!! I came to Lexi for calf pain while I was training for a half marathon. She was incredibly knowledgeable and within a few short months I was 100% pain free running my half marathon. I've continued to stay with Spark because the knowledge & therapies have improved my running so much. Lexi has been a lifesaver and over the last year has become a good friend. 5 out of 5 stars!

I had been dealing with lower back pain for quite some time and decided to make an appointment with Dr. Alison. She specializes in pelvic floor therapy, which I honestly didn't know much about before my visit. After meeting with her and learning more about how the pelvic floor functions, we developed a treatment plan focused on relieving my pain. Dr. Alison is truly amazing. She made me feel heard and validated from the very beginning, and her kindness and compassion immediately put me at ease. She took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, which gave me confidence in the plan we created together. If you've been wondering whether you should make an appointment with Dr. Alison, I wholeheartedly encourage you to do it. You won't regret it. She was absolutely worth the drive, and I'm so grateful to have found the exceptional care she provides.

I have been going to Sparks Physical Therapy for about two and half month now for a shoulder issue and I give it a “Five Star Rating” My physical therapist Lexi has been Awesome and over the top on helping me heal from my shoulder injury!!! She has been spot on showing me the different exercises to use to help me get full range of motion in my shoulder. She is very professional, caring, knowledgeable and overall just a great person to have as a therapist!!! I would recommend Sparks Physical Therapy to anyone!!! I can move my shoulder and arm different ways that I have not been able to do in years!!! It has truly been a God send to me and I enjoyed every session I have had!!! Thank you Lexi!!!

Today was my first day as a patient at Spark. I was really impressed with my visit with my PT Lexi. I know I'm at the right place after multiple tries at other offices in the area. Happy to be in a place where I can get the one-on-one care I need to get my problems addressed.

I've been running Marathons for a few years and developed knee pain a little over 6 months ago. I went to Spark and have been working with Lexi for about a month and a half. After just a couple sessions my knee pain is gone and the exercises I have been doing have given me more confidence that my knee is stronger. I was able to complete the Cleveland Marathon this past weekend with no pain during or after the race! I've never bounced back from a race this well and the continued therapy has me excited for my next marathon. I highly recommend working with Lexi at others a Spark. They focus on what hurts and how to fix it. The sessions are tailored around your progress and lifestyle as well.

I experienced shoulder pain for over six months with little to no improvement. I scheduled an evaluation with Lexi at Spark Physical Therapy, and she quickly determined that physical therapy was the right approach for my recovery. Through weekly sessions and a customized at-home exercise program, I steadily regained strength and mobility. I’m pleased to share that I am now pain-free and back to all of my normal activities. Lexi was knowledgeable, supportive, and great to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend!

I had been dealing with achilles and heel pain following an injury from running a marathon a few years ago. I wasn't able to run without pain at all since then. I had been to a couple PT's and a podiatrist for treatment, but nothing seemed to work! Lexi at Spark was finally able to get me on a program that worked! We started a 12 week program that included active strengthening exercise and actually running. I was told to stay away from running by all other PTs, but Lexi was able to help me reincorporate it in a sustainable way. We also used Stemwave therapy, which I was skeptical about at first. No longer though! It worked perfectly for the soft tissue around my plantar fascia, the bursa in my heel and the Achilles. It really helped to heal and rehab those areas, especially as my body was getting used to more load as we ramped up the miles on my running. Lexi is certified in dry needling as well, which I have always found useful! Too long didn't read: Lexi at Spark therapy helped me go from not being able to run at all, to considering signing up for the Columbus Marathon in October. 10/10, thank you Lexi!

I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Dr. Alison and Spark PT. Before starting pelvic floor physical therapy, I struggled with incontinence that affected so many parts of my daily life. I found myself constantly planning around bathroom access, worrying about leaks, and avoiding certain activities because I lacked confidence. I honestly thought it was just something I would have to live with. From my very first conversation with Dr. Alison, I felt heard and understood. She created such a welcoming, judgment-free environment where I felt comfortable talking about something that can be incredibly personal and embarrassing. Her knowledge of pelvic floor health is exceptional, and she took the time to thoroughly explain what was happening, answer every question I had, and develop a treatment plan that was tailored specifically to my needs. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Alison was encouraging, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my success. She celebrated every milestone with me, adjusted my exercises as I progressed, and always made sure I felt confident in what I was doing. Today, I have so much more confidence than I ever imagined possible. My incontinence has improved tremendously, and I no longer let fear dictate my daily activities. The improvement in my quality of life has been incredible, and I'm so grateful I decided to seek help. If you're dealing with incontinence or any pelvic floor concerns, please don't suffer in silence. There is hope, and Dr. Alison has the knowledge, compassion, and expertise to help you get your life back. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Dr. Alison, for helping me regain my confidence and showing me that these symptoms don't have to be "just part of life."

I started seeing Collin Spark for physical therapy in Akron, Ohio due to severe hip pain and difficulty walking prior to my bilateral hip replacements, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Working with Collin before surgery helped restore mobility and properly prepare my body, which made a noticeable difference in my recovery. I delayed my hip replacement surgeries for over 10 years, which caused my body to develop extensive scar tissue to stabilize my hips. That scar tissue became the biggest challenge after surgery. I had my first hip replaced in October and the second in December, and I’ve continued working with Collin throughout the entire recovery process. What truly sets Collin apart from other physical therapists in the Akron area is his comprehensive, hands-on approach. In addition to targeted exercises and mobility work, he incorporates stretching, massage, cupping, dry needling, and StemWave therapy. StemWave therapy has been an absolute game changer. It is non-invasive, not painful at all, and it breaks down scar tissue immediately, providing relief very quickly. The reduction in pain and stiffness—and the improvement in mobility—has been remarkable. If you’re looking for a skilled physical therapist in Akron, Ohio for hip pain, post-surgical recovery, or scar tissue issues, Collin Spark stands out.

I’ll be honest, I was skeptical this was going to help. At 65 years old, after years of sports, hard work, and pretending I was still 30, I figured knee pain was just part of the deal. But this pain was different. I limped into Sparks Physical Therapy at about a 9 out of 10 pain level, honestly worried my next stop was going to be an orthopedic surgeon to talk about surgery options. From the very first visit, though, I felt completely at ease. Dr. Collin explained everything clearly, what they were going to do, how it should feel, and what kind of progress I could realistically expect. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest care and professionalism. And let me tell you, everybody in that office is outstanding. They have the kind of bedside manner you just don’t see much anymore. They treat you like family while still being top notch professionals. The results honestly shocked me. Five weeks in, I went from limping around in pain to riding 20 miles on my bike. Six weeks in, I almost forgot I even had knee pain. Seven weeks in, I was doing bodyweight squats in the office. Before that, I had trouble just getting out of a chair without sounding like Rice Krispies. I especially want to thank Alysse Ritossa. She is absolutely wonderful, attentive, caring, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in her patients. She made the whole experience memorable and actually enjoyable, which is not something I ever thought I’d say about physical therapy. Sparks Physical Therapy gets a 10 out of 10 from me. If you’re my age and thinking, “Well, I guess this is just how my knees are now,” do yourself a favor and give them a shot before talking surgery. Thank you all for everything. I am now able to get back to the things I love pain free!
