At 47 years of age, I had a substantial lower back injury during strength training. My recovery was becoming months long with continued pain & no relief in sight. The professional advice I received from other medical sources was to simply give up on certain physical activities that could cause continued pain (strength training/deadlifts, mountain biking as two examples) because "I'm getting to be that age" and needed to "learn to live with back pain"...
I truly felt I had no options left to maintain the activities I've come to enjoy at this point in my life, and at perhaps my lowest point, I saw an advertisement from Collin from Spark that resonated with me & I filled out the form. That one decision I decided to make changed the unfortunate course I was on, and (spoiler alert) put be back on the right track.
Collin took the time to hear my situation, he asked what my goals were, and discussed treatment path to get there. From the first contact over phone intake interview, through all of the in-person treatment visits, Collin continued his caring consultative approach, with a personal touch. Being an athlete himself, his genuine desire to help clients reach their physical goals shows in every conversation, it is easy to see he loves what he does.
Outside of the weekly tailored in-person visits for treatment, the user friendly & exceptional quality of the technology interface (PhysiApp) made keeping up with daily at-home physical movements easy and fun.
After a reasonable number of weeks of treatment, Collin not only had me 100% back enjoying the physical activities that others said I should give up; I am also enjoying more flexibility in my back, hips, and legs - than I've had in decades!
Also, proud to say at the end of treatments rocking a Spark Physical Therapy shirt I ran my fastest 5K in 30 years -- something that seemed completely out of sight just a few months ago.
Collins results speak for themselves... Or as he put it to me on many occasions with a fist bump -- "It's teamwork!"
