I hired Space Coast Mobile Detailing to remove oxidation from my car. They charged me $180, and after they finished, there was still a lot of oxidation visible. When I mentioned this, they explained that they had used a polishing compound and wax but that my paint had deeper clearcoat damage and pitting that couldn’t be fixed with that process. THEY ARE CURRENTLY USING A PICTURE OF MY CAR ON THEIR FB PAGE! They are lying about what they did🤬
They offered to come back and do a test spot using a stronger compound for paint correction. After they did that, the 12x12 area on my trunk looked great — the oxidation was completely gone. However, they told me it would cost an additional $400 and take 4–5 hours to do the rest of the car. Why didn’t they do that the first time?
Before agreeing to that, I contacted M & J’s Car Detailing. Mike came out within a couple of days, assessed my car, and quoted me $150 to remove all the oxidation. In less than two hours, he completely removed the oxidation from the hood, trunk, and roof. My car looks brand new!
So in the end, Space Coast charged me $180 for a job that wasn’t done properly and wanted another $400 to fix it. Outrageous! M& J’s did the entire job for $150 in under two hours. I have photos documenting everything from start to finish.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Space Coast Mobile Detailing based on my experience. However, I would highly recommend M & J’s Auto Detailing — they were honest, efficient, and did an excellent job restoring my car’s finish.
