In just 4 weeks, Beginner Sewing students at Soul Collection’s go from learning how to thread a machine to completing a fully lined, zip-up box pouch from start to finish.
Students begin by mastering sewing machine basics, seam allowance, and straight stitching. As the weeks progress, they build skills in accurate cutting, pressing and sewing. By week three, they’re confidently installing zippers. In the final week, they’re understanding how lining works and how to box corners for structure and complete a clean, professional finish.
This project teaches real foundational techniques:
• Zipper installation
• Lined construction
• Seam accuracy
• Fabric pairing
• Professional finishing
More than just making a pouch, students gain confidence, independence, and practical sewing skills they can build on for future projects.
Beginner Sewing Classes are designed to create strong foundations — one finished project at a time. 🧵
