If you already know how to use the sewing machine but want to learn how to work with sewing patterns, come get started in Intermediate Sewing Classes on Saturdays 11-1 p.m., 4 classes 2 hours each class with free lab time to work on your project from 1-3.
Students can choose from a variety of sewing patterns which include Vogue, New Look, Butterick, Simplicity just to name a few and a range of Vintage Patterns as well from dresses, tops, pants, skirts, jumpers, rompers, vests, corsets and unlined jackets. Students learn how to read the Sewing Pattern, adjust the Fit to their individual size, learn correct Fabric and Pattern Layout, transfer the sewing pattern markings onto the fabric and a variety of construction techniques dependent on students selection. Come and make your own clothes!
Prequisite: Must already know how to sew and thread the machine.
