Welcome to the Sewing Lounge where students learn how to sew in small group settings. I started Soul Collections in 2003 inspired by building up others through life skills in sewing forming a collection of classes bringing a community together. I offer affordable Sewing and Patternmaking Classes for adults and kids and alterations and tailoring services on site. I've been sewing for over 30 years 1st learning from my dear mom at the age of 4 continuing on into my early 20’s. I was accepted into F.I.T. receiving my A.A.S. in Patternmaking Technology. I worked in the Fashion Industry for 16+ years in sleepwear while teaching sewing part time in my apt. In 2014, I expanded to 1126 Bedford Ave resigning from my full time job to do what I love

Beginners Sewing Classes
$140.00
Affordable Beginners Sewing Classes, 2 hr ea class on Saturdays, either 9-11 a.m or 11-1pm. Students learn to sew using the Sewing Machine to making a creative Pin Cushion to the sewing project of the month. Fabric and machines included for in shop classes.

From the moment I walked into Soul Collection’s Sewing Lounge, I felt right at home. The family who runs the studio has created such a warm and friendly environment. I was a complete beginner, but Shannon was incredibly patient, breaking down every step and I never felt overwhelmed. What I really appreciated was the personal attention. The class size gave me the help and guidance I needed. I have learned so many new skills in class 1.. Im excited and I look forward to sharing my sewing project with everyone once completed!! I can't wait for my next class!"

Shannon has created such a warm and lovely learning environment. I can't recommend the Sewing Lounge enough. I signed up as an absolutely beginner and have felt so supported by Shannon and her team!
