Worth it and cost effective?
Many surveillance deployments can be wasted because the subject(s) of the deployment either do not move from a location, are not seen as they are not where they were suspected to be or do not do what they were expected to do.
This is why intelligence led deployments are cost effective but also more likely to achieve the objectives for the client.
If intelligence is developing, changes or waits confirmation why pay the full cost of an expensive deployment and not have a team on standby to react?
We have dealt with a number of clients who suspect that an incident may occur that they need evidencing ( commercial burglary, intellectual property infringement, breach of court order, handling stolen goods) but are unsure of the exact day/time and await confirmation.
By paying a retainer to keep a small team available to react when the intelligence is confirmed allows us to confirm a team for the client, not deploying elsewhere and committed to that operation.
Each company has a finite number of resources so to ensure rapid deployment of properly trained and equipped operators we believe retainers are a cost effective method.
