Jae, Lana and the team at Solar Planet were great to work with, everyone was very nice and professional. Solar Planet is local to us in Douglas County KS, so not some out of state operation trying to get quick money, which we liked. Solar is a big investment into any home, their upfront and clear communication throughout the processes made it very easy to choose them for the job. They handled all of the permits and scheduling on their end, and built us a solar system that looks great on the house, provided us with backup power in case of outages, and lowered our bill by $250 within the first month of operation. Despite Threat of a Lawsuit from Solar Planet’s Lawyer, Here’s My Review Top 10 Reasons I Will Never Use Jae or Solar Planet Again #1: Lawyers Should Be a Last Resort! • “I represent Solar Planet regarding the solar system installed for you and your threatened negative reviews. You should refrain from posting those reviews.” • “If you proceed with your threatened course of action, Solar Planet will litigate to protect its reputation and recover all damages from your unwarranted attacks.” • Below is my honest review, based solely on my opinion. Warning: Avoid Jae at Solar Planet for Solar Installations Our 36-week experience with Jae at Solar Planet was a disaster. Key issues: • Poor Workmanship: System not installed per drawings, rejected twice by Evergy. • Misleading Claims: Promised German-made Aixtec panels, delivered unfamiliar Indian-made panels with color mismatches. • Unprofessional Service: Missed critical steps (e.g., Evergy paperwork), left messy wiring, untreated wood, and underutilized gutter system. • DIY Burden: We rewired the system ourselves after Jae provided only a Tesla manual screenshot. Timeline: Started 9/10/24, quoted 2 months, completed 6/22/25. Evergy delays stemmed from Solar Planet’s errors, incorrect wiring, and missing components (e.g., 125A load center). Jae dismissed concerns, offering to sell more equipment instead of resolving issues. I had asked him to take my estimated gross profit from our project and provide additional batteries at his cost. After learning I wasn’t the only customer with a poor experience and facing threats from their lawyer, I felt further compelled to share this review.

Jae's team installed a Tesla wall connector for us and were awesome to work with. The technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and they cleaned up when they were finished. I received bids from two other vendors and SP was not only the cheapest but by far, the best equipped to handle the job. Highly recommend!

Jae at Solar Planet was as professional as it gets when it came to helping diagnose an installation issue with my solar array (installed by a completely separate company no longer in business) and get it repaired quickly so I could have my system back online and producing electricity!
