Working with Sally and the team at Smoke & Pickles for my daughter’s wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Sally is truly passionate about food — not just cooking it, but sourcing it thoughtfully, preparing it with intention, and presenting it in a way that feels elevated, warm, and deeply personal.
From the very beginning, she understood how important simple, local ingredients were to Matt and Emily, and that philosophy came through in every bite. She also helped us navigate the space, layout, and flow in a venue that was new to hosting weddings. Her experience and insight were invaluable. She even arrived the day before the event to meet the rental company and walk through the setup, ensuring everything was seamless. That kind of commitment and care is rare.
Her team was professional, courteous, and incredibly organized. The setup and details felt curated — thoughtful instead of cookie-cutter — which made the meal feel like an intentional part of the celebration rather than just standard wedding catering.
During cocktails, the cheese and pickle station was a huge hit. Guests were talking about it all night! The cheeses weren’t the typical pre-cut cubes; they were beautifully selected, artfully arranged, and paired with Chef’s house-made pickled vegetables (of all types)!
But the true showstopper was the dinner buffet. The whole salmon and brisket, smoked right outside the door in their portable smoker, was visually stunning and genuinely some of the best food we’ve had all year. As restaurant owners ourselves, we have deep appreciation for the skill, technique, and local sourcing behind it. It was a delight to look at and an even bigger delight to eat!
Smoke & Pickles brought heart, craft, and authenticity to our daughter’s wedding. We are so grateful for the guidance, the professionalism, and the truly exceptional food that elevated the entire evening.
