In the September 2023, Mr. Smitty installed a new LiftMaster garage door opener and belt rail. Both came with a 4 year warranty and one year warranty on parts. Recently, the LiftMaster garage door stopped working. I asked Mr. Smith to come out and take a look which he did. He worked with Chamberlain to identify the issue. Chamberlain mailed the parts of my house, and a technician (from Mr. Smitty’s team) came out to install the replacement parts. When the technician left, he didn’t give me a receipt for the work or the payment. I reached out to Mr. Smitty, and Mr. Smitty said he would send it over. I also mentioned at that time that the technician did not use all of the parts sent by Chamberlain and asked if Mr. Smitty would like to have them. After two weeks (it was during the Holidays), I had not received the receipt so I reached out to Mr. Smitty again, reminding him. He apologized for the delay and said he would send it over (but I never received it). A few weeks later, the garage door opener stopped working again and it seemed to be the same issue as when I first contacted Mr. Smitty. I contacted Mr. Smitty once again, stating the original garage door problem was back and reminding him that I never received the statement of work or receipt for my payment. To date (approximately 3 weeks later), I have received no reply. I’m extremely disappointed, as Mr.Smitty has always been responsive and very accountable for his work (to include sending invoices and proof of payment).
