Smile and Wellbeing Dental Studio

My mother needed an emergency appointment with her dentist and having rung in the morning one was offered for later that day which was brilliant. From receptionist through to the amazing care of Richard her dentist and dental nurse my mother was treated with respect dignity and kindness. She went on to have 3 teeth extracted which was carried out there and then - what service! Again, all very professional and efficient and my mother is pain free. She couldn't be happier with her experience and as her daughter that goes for me too. First class in every way highly recommend Smile and Wellbeing.

Further to my review below which I posted 3 months ago, I am nearing completion of my dental implants journey with Richard. Today I have had impressions done so my new teeth can be made. I highly recommend Richard, who is an excellent dentist who takes great care & pride in what he does & I have every confidence in him & am looking forward to seeing the end result. Thank you! Richard at Smile & Wellbeing is an excellent dentist & I would highly recommend him for any dental work. He is also a really nice calm man who makes you feel totally at ease before & during treatment. I’ve just had some dental implant work done with Richard. The whole implant procedure went very smoothly & he explained everything to me & answered any questions I had. Thank you too to Laura who assists Richard & Clare on Reception. Thank You.

I am not good at any dentist since childhood trauma. I would normally go and then never return and find it awful. The team have taken the time and consideration into that at every appointment, and let me say there were a lot! I haven’t been a frequent visitor to a dentist until meeting and going to Richard & Laura. You walk in and they greet you by name, ask how you’ve been and make it personal every time. They ask your concerns and don’t make you feel stupid or uncomfortable when you do inevitably get upset like me. My anxiety before the appointment has quelled and not half as bad as it used to be. Not only that but I have returned time and time again! I still get anxious during the appointment however they do as I ask and don’t bring the added attention and anxiety to it and carry on as if it never happened. I am grateful to everything they have helped me overcome and deal with so far and will be returning frequently to keep the progress I have made up all because of the effort and compassion of the wonderful team they have.

Amazing service, we were away on holiday at my parents and my son started suffering with a toothache Sunday night we were recommended to see Richard and they managed to fit us in as an emergency treatment on Monday evening just before Christmas. Excellent service and lovely staff. Highly recommend if you are local to the area

Fabulous dentist & practise staff. Very friendly & go out of their way to put patients at ease. Richard is very professional, extremely patient, gentle & courteous. I am very nervous about dentists but I am not anxious at all with him. I would whole heartedly recommend him. Having completed the process of an implant, finally my new tooth is placed & I'm absolutely delighted. I have my complete smile back. The whole process was painless, literally.

Very good dentist. I met Richard in 2023 and felt very comfortable using him ever since. They do a fabulous job I must say. Going back again next year :)

I contacted Smile and Wellbeing as an emergency patient after a fall. The staff could nit have been nicer or done more to accommodate me. Very pleased with the thorough service and kindness of everyone on the day.

A friendly family run practice, certainly not the cheapest private dentist but you get what you pay for. Eloise the Hygienist in particular is fantastic, very experienced and most importantly kind and caring you get the sense your wellbeing is very important.

I have to be dragged kicking and screaming to go to the dentist! Richard and his team are first class, once it’s over I do wonder why I make such a fuss. Fantastic professional dentistry. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a dentist in the Bishops Stortford area.
