The staff is great! Our fur baby is very energetic and was hard to train him at home. Within the first week at Sit means Sit he was more attentive and listen to our commands! We go every week for follow-up training and our fur baby loves going back! He always so happy to learn and play. We are so great for the staff for teaching us and our fur baby how we can communicate with one another. I will bring all my future pets here from now on

The staff is amazing!!! They worked with fur baby one on one and now we just started our Group classes. Sit Means Sit is the best thing that could have happened to my fur baby & I. I leaned a lot about my fur baby during the consultation; she was very energetic, curious, anxiety & consistently barked. The first day of my fur baby one on one I was so surprised that she stopped barking. My fur baby anxiety has gotten much better. She really loves going here & my fur baby always knows when we are pulling up. I’m so helpful for the staff everyone is very friendly & all are welling to step in and help. This place is amazing & I'm glad I choose Sit Means Sit for my fur baby to train.

When we adopted Harley she was terrified of anything and everything. We tried some other trainers and other techniques before we found Sit means Sit with limited results. Once she spent time with Colby and Drew, we almost instantly saw her confidence and comfort level grow and in the year since we’ve been going she has only gotten more and more confident. She was once a shy scared dog, and she has grown into a more confident version of herself and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you for your help, Sit means Sit!

We love these trainers!! They treat my dog like family. We are doing the 15 day board and train program and just after 5 days we noticed a huge positive difference in behavior. Hes always so excited when we drop him off too. They treat the dogs and human clients like family! Now if only they could train my wife

Sit Means Sit has been the best decision for us and our dog Louie. He was easily distracted and a big leash puller. After working with the SMS team he's become a joy to walk and lives a more confident and comfortable life

When I first adopted my puppy, I researched many dog training companies in Raleigh and I’m so glad we went with Sit Means Sit! Between the onsite training and ongoing group classes, Rufus keeps getting better and better. We bring him to work most days and people are constantly commenting on how well-behaved he is. He is great on a leash, an angel at the groomer, and great with people and other dogs. I highly recommend sit means sit!

Stagg came in early on and off rip the staff was extremely helpful. From the individual lessons to group training class he has walked out a more confident and well mannered dog. We are in disbelief with how well this class has been and highly recommend this class to anyone. I am very glad I found this place and if you’re uncertain of where to bring your dog like I was you found the place!

Our sweet Sage is almost 4 years old and Sit Means Sit has changed her life- and ours too! Sage has a lot of anxiety, which has significantly impacted her health in the past. She excelled at the Sit Means Sit Board and Train for two weeks. We even had a home visit with Colby which was amazingly helpful! Since the training, our family can effectively communicate with Sage, which lessens her anxiety. She is happier and calmer than ever before. We can now bring Sage for walks that are enjoyable for her & us. She rides in the car like a champ, and kindly welcomes people into our home. This training has been a game changer for all of us! Thank you Colby, Drew & Kaitlyn (and all the staff and trainers)!!

I wasn’t sure where to begin when I first moved to North Carolina with my extremely reactive one-year-old German Shepherd. I searched everywhere for a training facility that matched the style I was looking for—one that used tools and offered more than just “positive only” methods. After a lot of frustration, I finally discovered Sit Means Sit. I went in for a free consultation with no expectations, but choosing them turned out to be the best decision I’ve made for my dog and myself. Their program isn’t just about training the dog—it’s about teaching the owner how to work with their dog effectively. After just a few months of weekly sessions, my GSD, Zara, can now calmly work around a busy dog park full of barking and distractions. When I faced challenges at home, the owner even came to my house to help me directly. That’s what sets this facility apart: they don’t just hand you back a “trained dog,” they teach you how to handle real-life situations and resolve issues together. Training isn’t cheap, but if you’re willing to put in the effort and truly want change, the results are absolutely worth it. I’m often stopped by people asking, “Who’s your trainer? How did you get her so well-behaved?” and I proudly answer, Sit Means Sit. If you’re hesitant about working with a trainer, take the leap—you’ll be glad you did. It’s an investment of time and effort that pays off in ways you’ll appreciate every single day.

I chose Sit Means Sit because they accepted small breeds into their boarding training program. Pebbles the pug was in the program when she was an 8 month old puppy. In 2 weeks I could NOT believe the transformation. I’ve had pugs in the past and do know their temperament…She’s a completely different dog. Sit means sit techniques completely worked and it has made puppyhood so much more enjoyable Thank you Drew Ansley
