I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent visits to your clinic concerning our dog, who had been experiencing symptoms of diarrhea.
We visited Singvet and were attended to by Dr. Kim. She was friendly and recommended a blood test and X-ray. We informed her that our dog had recently eaten, and she assured us it would not be an issue for the X-ray. However, after the scan was done, Dr. Kim stated that the food obstructed visibility in the X-ray, and we were advised to return for a repeat scan after our dog had fasted.
The receptionist informed us that when we returned, we should simply show our previous receipt to the front desk staff, as she would not be on duty the next day. This gave us the impression that the repeat X-ray would not incur additional charges, as the need for it was due to prior miscommunication.
The following day, we returned and were attended to by Dr. Racheal. We proceeded with the X-ray and were asked to wait about 30 minutes. During our wait, we received a call from Dr. Racheal informing us that the results were clear, which was reassuring. However, there was no photo or detailed explanation provided, and we had to specifically request a copy of the X-ray ourselves.
When I inquired about the billing, I was told that the charges still applied. Dr. Racheal contacted another doctor and informed us—rather abruptly—that there was no note stating the repeat scan was complimentary. This interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive, especially given the circumstances.
I wanted to raise this matter because we feel it was unfair to be charged again for an X-ray that had to be repeated due to unclear instructions provided during our initial visit. Additionally, the lack of communication and follow-up regarding the scan results left us feeling uncertain and dissatisfied.
We are passionate about our pet’s wellbeing and seek veterinary care that prioritizes clear communication, compassion, and trust. Unfortunately, our recent experience fell short of these expectations. I sincerely hope this feedback will be taken constructively to improve processes and communication at your clinic.
