SimpleStay Hotel

We had a great stay! The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were super kind and helpful with local recommendations. Breakfast was good with lots of options — eggs, salad, sausage, bread, yogurt, cereal, coffee, juice, and even ramen. The room was quiet and spotless. The bathroom sink was a bit low and the shower isn’t separated, so some water splashes, but it wasn’t a big deal. Location is perfect — just a minute from the subway and surrounded by cute cafés. The area gets lively at night but we never had any noise issues. Highly recommend!

When we arrived in Seoul, we spent 5 nights at this great place. We liked it so much, that we decided to stay here again before we went home. The hotel is in a superb location. Close to the main palaces and many eateries, but in a quiet alley. The rooms and facilities are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is tasty, and the staff is lovely and super friendly and helpful - especially Mason. Great value for money. Totally recommended! Many thanks to Mason and the other stay for making our stay in Seoul so good!

Nice stay in a great location, but be aware there are so many 5-star reviews because they offer a free gift in exchange. The room was fairly clean and the staff was nice, but the shower curtain in my room was a bit moldy and should be replaced, considering it’s such a cheap item. Felt a bit outdated too with no reading light, etc. Breakfast is included and is a more western style, it was nice for some days, coffee machine in lobby was nice also. I did like the key code entry and the laundry room on the top floor was great. Overall was a nice stay and I would stay there again.

The wife and I stay here for 6 nights. Location is 10/10. Two minute walk from exit 5 or 6 of Jongno 3 underground station. Down a side street but minutes away from streets packed with restaurants and a few bars. Jongno station is a few stops from Seoul station and City Hall. Price was reasonable and included basic breakfast, scrambled egg on toast was my staple. Room was very small and basic, this is a budget hotel but worthy of 5 stars simply because we wanted a functional clean room in a great location at a good price. Large TV worked well as did the fridge and air conditioning, kettle and hairdryer provided. No view at all from window. Bathroom had a good shower but minor complaint was a bit dark , small sink with no mirror above it. All staff were fantastic. Everything was clean. Laundry facilities are first class.

The hotel is in a great location, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had everything we needed. The rooms, however, are quite small. One of our rooms had an extremely tiny bathroom, so we requested a room change and paid an additional amount for a better option. Overall, considering the location and the price, the hotel offers good value for money in Seoul.

This hotel is in a great location - we could walk to most attractions. Breakfast consisted of: scrambled eggs, salad, yogurt, fries, hashbrowns, cereal, toast, hot dogs etc. They have a coffee machine in the lobby and unlimited water bottles which was much appreciated. The tea provided in the room was delicious. The man working the night shift was so lovely and spoke great English. We loved the cardless entry into our room and also appreciated the provided charging cube - never had that in a hotel room before. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at this hotel in Seoul. The location is fantastic, with restaurants, bars, and the metro all just a short walk away, and it’s really well connected to the rest of the city. Despite being so central, the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options to start the day. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we loved having a bathtub, which felt like such a treat. They also have laundry facilities, which was super handy for a longer stay. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d definitely come back.

I had a horrific experience at this motel. On the morning of my checkout, a staff member opened our door without any warning (no phone call, no knocking) while it was still 30 minutes before the official checkout time. My partner and I were both completely naked, and our privacy was severely violated in an instant. We decided to refuse the partial refund because we will not be silenced by people who have no respect for their guests' basic rights and privacy. I am writing this review to warn others: if you value your privacy and expect even a basic level of customer service, **DO NOT stay here.**

Short version: weird that it's a 4.8 rating, right? Be warned that there's a lot of rating manipulation at foreign hotels in general, restaurants as well. Here they give you a gift bad for a 5 star review. A shame because it's actually pretty decent. But not perfect. Looking at the photos the rooms have a lot of variation. Pros: Perfect location, I wouldn't want to stay in any other area while visiting seoul. Rooms were very clean and modern. Shower was fantastic. Free basic breakfast, everyone was very friendly. Beds were firm but comfy. Cons: In general, more concerned with looks than function. Tiny window that didn't let in any light (mirrored) and can't be opened because beds are in the way (might be a pro though, great for sleeping). No outlets anywhere. Rooms are very small, and no where to hang anything. No hooks, nothing in the bathroom to use (doors go the ceiling). The bathroom has a lot of glass. Turning on a light lights up the whole room. The sink was ridiculously low. Would get 4 stars from me otherwise.
