In Central Florida, heat and humidity make it important to follow the flooring manufacturer’s instructions. Hardwood is especially sensitive to moisture, while luxury vinyl plank, laminate, carpet and sheet vinyl may also have requirements for room temperature and acclimation time. Waterproof flooring can still need time in the conditioned room before installation.
Keep your home’s air conditioning running at normal living conditions, and don’t store flooring in a garage or porch before installation.
