Treadmill Test (TMT)
The Treadmill Test (TMT), also known as an exercise stress test, evaluates heart health and endurance under monitored conditions.
Procedure:
Wear comfortable clothes and avoid food/smoking for a few hours.
Electrodes and a BP cuff are attached to monitor vitals.
Treadmill speed/incline increases gradually to reach the target heart rate.
Test ends upon reaching the limit or if symptoms appear.
Risks:
Rare: chest pain, dizziness, or arrhythmias.
Managed under expert supervision.
TMT offers valuable insights into cardiovascular health and fitness in a controlled, safe setting.
