My family was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Shoreline Hospice Care during a very crucial and difficult time in our lives. The support provided by the staff at the facility helped make a significant difference in managing everything during this time. I especially want to talk about our hospice nurse, Lija. She always demonstrated compassion and listened to the family about our concerns, and provided the family with comfort. I don't know what I would have done without her during the last hours of my sister's life. She was there every minute of the way, directing me and providing clear explanations about pain management and end-of-life care. Even months after her death, Lija would still reach out to ensure our family was okay and just check in from time to time. I appreciated this greatly.
