Excellent service. I called Gary for what I thought was a preventive visit as a neighbour was dealing with a rat in the wall issue and I am so phobic of rodents I wanted to make sure I had no entry points. I was horrified as Gary revealed evidence of mice and identified all the entry points. He quickly sealed up the holes, advised me on what I needed to do and reassured me that we would get rid of the problem. I am so phobic that I can't even watch rodents on a TV show or movie, so the thought of them being in my home was horrific to me. I have since done everything Gary has suggested and he has come back every week for 3 weeks to check on things -which has been very reassuring and fortunately nothing has returned. The icing on the cake is he has a hawk and I was able to hold it which was amazing. Very kindly he even fixed my door draft excluder which had come awry. Honest, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend.

I contacted Garry today with an enquiry and he was incredibly helpful from start to finish. He showed immense knowledge and competence, and what impressed me most was his honesty—he actually explained how I could fix the issue myself without needing to spend any money with a professional company. Not many people would do that. Truly professional, transparent, and a pleasure to deal with. We’ll definitely be using Garry again in the future whenever we need help.

Had a problem with pigeon’s under my solar panels contacted a few companies shire was by far the best price had the work carried out the following week by Gary and his son work completed to a very high standard and a pleasure to deal with both of them.

I phoned Gary to ask for advice on what was possibly a bed bug infestation. Rather than taking money for a bed bug treatment, Gary advised waiting and looking at potential other causes. It turns out that my leg blotches were down to amlodipine medication. My reason for taking the time to leave a 5 star review was the clear honesty and genuine helpfulness that Gary offered. Refreshing to deal with someone who wants to help , rather than take money as a default position.

Gary was very friendly and answered all our questions. He was easily available by phone and offered to stop by if we had any issues. Service was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend him :)

If you have any pest related problems I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gary and Shire Pest and Property Care Ltd. We have been struggling with a persistent drain fly issue in a downstairs bathroom after a problem with a leaking toilet. When we initially contacted Gary he was extremely helpful and explained how to get rid of them free of charge - however we asked if he would come out for piece of mind to ensure everything was done properly. He booked us in for the Monday (this was Saturday) and advised us to dry the area where the toilet had been leaking as much as possible which we did with a dehumidifier. When Gary arrived he was very friendly and within no time he was finished the treatment. After he was finished he was very understanding and answered all the questions my partner and I had (there was quite a few as the infestation had really unsettled both of us). Once we were reassure Gary tidied everything away and then recommended that we left the dehumidifier on for a few more days to really dry out the area - he also said we could contact him if we had any more questions or problems. Since Gary left we have not seen a single drain fly and we are absolutely delighted. If a pest infestation is causing you stress and anxiety we would highly recommend contacting Gary who I'm sure will be able to sort the problem in not time
