REMINDER: Coming this Sunday, Nov 1st at 2am, turn the clock back ONE hour. The annual turning back of the clock by one hour was once posed by Benjamin Franklin as a way to preserve candles that served as the main source of light in the 19th century.
However, it didn't actually get implemented until World War I with the Standard Time Act of 1918
Although the "fall back" by one hour is an annual occurrence to reset clocks, it also serves as a reminder to change carbon monoxide and smoke detector batteries.
