Best registered agent, best LLC company in Montana, and the cheapest, too! WHAT a wonderful difference THIS company makes! I dealt with about a dozen companies ... or should I say "nothing at all but terrible websites" ... before finding Shelby and Sons, and the difference is like night and day. Shelby and Sons DOES answer the phone. Shelby and Sons uses AMERICAN employees who are experts, not temporary gig workers.They get right to the perfect answer to make everything go smoothly and error-free. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION ... and Man, all the other companies I tried were just SO awful, too.

I employed Shelby and Sons Title Company earlier this year to assist with two LLCs and 5 vehicles. One LLC was already created and had two vehicles in it, and I wanted to make another LLC to register three additional vehicles. Of the five cars, ONE went smoothly. One was already permanently registered, yet they still charged me $206.12 to register it (I have since learned that permanently registered vehicles do NOT need to be re-registered when moving counties). One couldn't be done because it was salvage title and was sent back. The other two cars are where the experience with Shelby and Sons devolved. The first car was a car with a challenging title issue. It's the reason I moved my existing LLC under Shelby's management. I sent her the title to this car on July 29th, 2024 and she was unable to register the car due to title issues. I understand the title was compromised. My issue is that she told me she would be making a trip to Billings to assist with the title, led me on for over a month, never did go to Billings, and then attempted to bill me $150 for the title work on a car that she couldn't register. If a business owner commits to a trip, even if the trip is lengthy and logistics are difficult, they need to follow through on commitments to their client, or at the very least they do not bill them for nothing. The second massive issue was a supercar that has value in a lower number of owners. If you are a car person, you know how meaningful this is. They registered this car in the wrong LLC, despite an incredibly clear email we had sent and a written note we had sent along with the titles, had to move it back to the correct LLC, and then billed me twice as much for permanent tags as my previous management company had quoted me. I sent them this car's title on July 29th, 2024 as well. I'm writing this review November 9th, with no title. When I asked them to remove a $50 service fee they charged me because they had placed my vehicle in the wrong LLC (therefore adding "owners" onto the vehicle history and diminishing value) and because we were coming up on four months without a title or registration to my car, they would not remove even a small $50 fee. I was condescended to by one of the employees on the phone and via email. I was so completely appalled that someone could run a business like this and would not compromise in even the smallest ways that I told them I would be forced to write a public review to warn other people about this behavior and these practices. I had asked for the $50 fee to be removed, and I had told them I would not pay $150 for no work. I was sent a threatening legal letter accusing me of "forgery and falsified statements", "interstate transmission of forged statements" (where did they even get this from?) and "coercion and defamation threats". I was informed that they would "take necessary legal steps if any defamatory statements are published or any further attempts to coerce our company are made" and that they will not release the titles of the two vehicles listed above back to me. Who's coercing who? Shelby & Sons, a factual review of your business's shortcomings and poor business practices is not defamation. Asking for you to work with me and make a reasonable compromise is not coercion. I hope those reading this review and considering utilizing Shelby and Sons seek out a more established, experienced, and professional registered agent.
