John & Beth run an amazing place! I booked the venue for a 3 day event with 28 of my friends. It is an absolutely gorgeous property and great place to spend time. When they say “no neighbors” they really mean no neighbors. I definitely recommend going and checking out the place yourself before booking, the website really doesn’t do it justice. The cabins and bathrooms are shared so as long as your group is ok with that than you’ll have a great time. The outdoor showers are really amazing, nothing like being surrounded by towering pines while taking a refreshing shower in the morning. John and Beth are very straightforward and easy to communicate with. I’m so glad I found their website and took the time to drive up from the Bay Area to check it out.

We had a lovely stay with friends. Beth and John were very friendly and helpful. The place is absolutely amazing: nice cottages with lively colours and those outdoor showers: wow!

What Beth and John have built up near Mount Shasta is a slice of paradise that we're lucky enough to have had them share with us. We hosted a private event at Shasta Weddings and had a great time. Nobody got married at our event (that I'm aware of), but I would come back to get married here, and you should absolutely get married here.

This review is more about the communication than the venue itself. The venue seems very beautiful and the price point is more reasonable than most. Their website claims you can do a one-night wedding reservation, but when my partner and I reached out to ask about the price point for the “One Night Stand” it felt like a bait and switch, since the owner essentially told us we had to book a weekend or nothing. They have since not responded to us. I think that’s really poor business practice, and false advertising. We were really considering this venue as our first choice, but with communication feeling weird (and not very fast) it left a bad taste in our mouths so we found a different venue.

Beautiful ceremony site! Small village type feel around the reception areas. Long drive to get out there but worth it!

I had fun here, I thought it was beautiful. Here are some things I noticed... 1) The chairs don't seem to be put away. They are covered in tree sap. 2) The wedding venue has the wedding guests sitting in the direct sun with no cover. 3) The drive up and down....crazy pot hole dodging skills are required; (these are rim bending pot holes! Like legit tire busters, I'm giving you a heads up, the pot holes here are like straight up 6" straight curbs!) 4) It is very calm, when no one else is around. 5)So, this is probably the best piece of advice. Physically go here before you book here! Once you book, there are no refunds. However, we all had a blast! They've got toys for the kids, little tiny tot like sand boxes and slides. My favorite thing... I found was 3 or so portable disc golf baskets and even if you forget to bring your discs, they have some lying around. Thanks guys! It was great!

Editing my review after conversation with Beth: I have not been to This venue, but I did reach out inquiring for my own wedding. I got a very nice email response from John! As I indicated I have a Service Dog, he recommended I spoke with Beth as they have service dogs to keep out wild animals from the village. I reached out to Beth over text and her response was that my dog is not allowed. I felt the message was short and took offense. I made the previous review out of anger and when she reached out to sincerely apologize, we ended in good terms and I felt her truly meaning what she was saying. I now would like to apologize for my inflated rant and do wish the establishment the best!

Absolutely Gorgeous place. It's a tiny smurfhouse village with wonderful hosts! With mountains! This star scale ought to go to eleven... Peace, love and rock'n roll!

Beautiful spot! All the cabins are so cute and colorful, surrounded by all kinds of blooms and little plots of grass...
