Did some sharpening for some independent stylists yesterday and explained to the stylist that whoever sharpened these convex edge shears took years off their life by putting a single bevel edge on them. (See flat shiny edge.) That blade should curve all the way to the edge, but the sharpener didn’t have the knowledge, equipment (flat hone) or skills to do the job correctly.
