Shafer Electric

Tyler came out to check on an issue I'd been having with my ceiling lights blowing. It was an easy fix (and my lack of knowledge of gfci outlets) and he didn't charge me anything for coming out! This is a man who you need to call for your next electrical need!

Had Tyler come out and replace an old FPE breaker panel. It’s clear he takes pride in his work - it looks like he went above and beyond what is required by code. It was a very clean and quick install, and the one of the most reasonably priced out of many quotes from other local companies.

Tyler took the time to explain all aspects of my electrical equipment thoroughly without the typical jargon. He put my concerns to rest. Very friendly, and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

We had the pleasure of talking to Tyler today and he asked me a few questions about an electrical issue that we needed fixed. Before scheduling an appointment he asked me a few questions then he walked me through fixing the problem myself. What a fantastic experience!!! I have used Shafer Electric twice now, I highly recommend them, and if I ever need an electrician again I will be calling Shafer Electric. The first time I used Shafer Electric was to have a 220 line ran from the 2nd floor to the first for a spa installation. Tyler spoke to me about what I was needing and advised the best way to accomplish that. (I do a lot of research for what I need done, that includes getting several estimates and speaking with the sub's getting to know their skill level. Tyler is professional, polite, & courteous but most importantly he knows his business). When it came time to have a Nemi 14-50 installed in my garage for my EV car I called Shafer Electric again. Again Tyler spoke with me about what I was needing done, we looked at several different options of where to locate the Nemi 14-50 and I made my decision and that's where Tyler placed the outlet. In the future I am looking to have an on demand hot water heater installed, I asked Tyler if that was something he did?, he was honest and advised me if I was putting it in the same location as where the current hot water heater was that normally the plumber would just use the existing service there. I was impressed with his honesty of not wanting to take advantage of the situation to earn an extra buck. Thank you Tyler for being an honest & hardworking man.

For some reason 2 of my ceiling fans stopped working and needed a few other odd and end outlets fixed, so i called Shafer Electric after they was referred to by a friend. It was soo hot outside i seen a bird blow on a worm before he ate it, i need my fans! And i like professionals that are straight forward and explain every aspect of what needs done in complete detail so you dont question anything about the job. I called them, set up an appointment, he came, he explained the problem, i said fix it, he fixed it and i paid him a reasonable price for it to be done in a timely fashion. Would recommend 100%.

My wife and I have a problem with a light switch leading to large parts of the house being without power. We made an appointment which got cancelled and rescheduled twice only to be cancelled again. Twice for poor planning, and once for an emergency. While it's understandable it happens once or twice, having it happen 3 times is not okay. We've been unable to use our appliances and office, and are unable to fix the problem ourselves. I can't speak for the quality of work Schafer Electric delivers, since we never got to that point. We're disappointed and frustrated. At least they were honest enough to suggest a different electrician.

The entire experience was flawless. From a quick estimate to a completed job. Tyler was professional and a pleasure to work with. I am completely satisfied with the work that was completed. I would highly recommend Shafer Electric.
