Slow leaks can cause slow, substantial damage. Our SERVPRO of Dallas Central team examined a closet in a North Dallas home and discovered discoloration, baseboards coming apart and a musty odor. The homeowner was not sure what was causing the issue. After using our thermal camera and moisture meter, we discovered that it was an adjoining shower that was the source. The walls were still very wet. The owners next step was to get the issue fixed with a plumber and then having it remediated requiring removal of drywall, baseboards, carpet and some shelving.
