A recently remodeled home in the Cedar Crest area of South Dallas had a bathroom sink leak that caused the need for water damage mitigation services. Our team was quickly onsite and scanned several adjoining rooms with a thermal camera to find the extent of the water damage. An adjoining room had damage on a wall that was not drying down, and small ventilation holes were not able to be placed. A small area of drywall was removed to explore what was causing the issue. In older, remodeled homes, there can be interesting structures and then fixes made to enable the reconstruction can occur. In this case, there was wood paneling directly behind the drywall. Opening up the wall allowed the area to breathe and dry down to our dry standard. The customer was very impressed with our process and locating what was not visible to the naked eye.
