Selectricity, installed a fuse box for my new hot tub in February 2025. It was still under warranty on November 11, 2025 when I called for service because the fuse had gone bad and consequently, my hot tub would not work. The technician stuck a long metal screwdriver into the fuse panel, which produced a horrendous electrical spark, (The assistant technician, and I both jumped back) and he said the fuse was still good. Huh?? I don’t know if this is protocol or not. But if it is, please let the homeowner know so that you don’t scare the crap out of him. So he checked my hot tub and Immediately said my hot tub was bad when it was not. It’s a brand new hot tub. Bottom line, they left my hot tub wires disconnected and the front panel of the fuse box on the ground with exposed live electrical wires coming from the main transformer on the street. I later noticed that and I almost passed out, thinking of the danger of a child, or my pets touching those live wires. They would have been “Electrocuted”. I immediately called the office and the receptionist assured me that they would come back and put the panel together and connect the wires to my tub, but they never showed up. The next day I called again, and the receptionist told me that the owner would call me. He called and I explained what happened, and he said the technicians will come back and finished the job. They never came back so I called again later that afternoon and the receptionist told me that the owner would call me because he wanted to talk to me. He never called. I called the next day with the same request, and was told that the owner would call me, and again he never called. So I found some YouTube videos, reconnected my tub and replaced the bad fuse with the help of a retired electrician neighbor and put the front panel back on the fuse box without getting electrocuted. Everything works fine now. So I called the office for the last time and spoke with the receptionist again and asked that they refund the $185.40. I paid for nothing and she said the owner would call me. Here we are two weeks later. Still no call. I guess I shouldn’t hold my breath. I added photos of the exposed fuse panel Just the way they left it and the tub wires disconnected so that you may see for yourself. Maybe they had a bad day, but bad days and that type of carelessness can kill Innocent people. I would never recommend them to anyone. Please see photos.
