A few years back we had Select Painting & Coatings do the exterior of our house. We were impressed by their professionalism, high-quality work & attention to detail. We recently build a second garage & Select was the only company we contacted to do the floor. Again they knocked it out of the park! Just a couples hiccups. First they missed half a wall on top of the baseboard. Second the driver struggled to get the trailer backed into our backyard. I finally asked if he wanted me to do it so I did. Then when they were leaving, even though it was a straight shot out on level ground he caught a fence post with the trailer & bent it. Again I asked if he wanted me to drive it & he said yes.

We had Select Coatings do our garage floor and couldn’t be happier with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and took pride in their work from start to finish. Although we had some initial significant quality issues with our flooring application to start, Select Flooring was responsive and got our job corrected within just a few days. The entire crew was pleasant to work with and we appreciate that they wanted to make our job right. Our salesperson, David, was extremely personable and great to work with. Now that the floor is complete it looks wonderful and we look forward to having a beautiful garage floor for years to come.

The crew did an exceptionally quick job. It took just a few hours to do the living room floor and the bathroom and adjoining closet. I am so pleased with my new floors. In the pictures the new floors look brownish but they actually have a bluish tint. However, they left a HUGE mess. Piles of their granular mix were all around the edges of both floors and tracked throughout the house. Dust was EVERYWHERE, on every exposed surface, on every wall. I have hired a house cleaning service to come clean from top to bottom. Thankfully, Select Coatings said they would reimburse me for this. One thing that select coatings did not do that did bother me a bit, was they DID NOT take off the baseboards when they applied the floor. They went to the edge of the baseboards and stopped. It left a nice little ridge of the flooring just under the edge of the baseboards that needed to be manually scraped level by house painters I hired before he could replace them! Despite the small things, still probably the best company you can hire.

We had Select Coatings come and do our pool deck. Initially we were very happy with it. But that quickly changed. While applying the coating during installation, the employees scraped the excess colored chips right into the pool, which caused all kinds of pool issues. By the end of the first summer, we already had cracking and holes. A company representative came and looked at it and agreed it needed to be fixed. Towards the end of the following summer (a year later) a person finally came and patched one crack, which also cracked again within a month. That employee told us that he felt the entire pool deck should be replaced due to the number of flaws in it. He was going to speak to his boss about it. We have not seen or heard from them since. Now starting summer #3 with the pool deck, we are extremely disappointed. The job was not listed by my name, it is under my fiancé's name, located in Worthington, MN.

My garage floor looks beautiful! I can’t believe how quickly it was transformed. John and DaVonne (sp?) were very efficient and did a super job. I am so happy I decided to go with Select Painting. Everyone I encountered was so nice and helpful. My thanks to them all for a really positive experience!
