Sedaris did a fantastic job sanding and refinishing our floors, installing new stair treads and sanding & finishing them as well. They handled a combination of unfinished red oak + prefinished white & red oak, making them match perfectly with other prefinished oak upstairs. They were very reasonable on price and even provided us a wonderful thank you swag box afterward! Can't recommend them highly enough. Professional. And they kept dust to an absolute minimum.

My parents had previously worked with this company on multiple occasions with great results. Even though the owner had changed I decided to work with them to put down my hardwoods. However, I did not receive the same results. Firstly, they placed multiple 8 inch and 12 inch boards in my master bedroom, secondary room, and hallway. They clustered these boards leading to one row of my hallway being made up entirely of short boards. After communicating that I didn’t like the clustered short boards, I was told what they could do to replace the board which was take them up and nail them through the top. I communicated that I didn’t like the idea and to leave the short boards as I would just live with them. I even called the owner of the company to let him know about my concerns but he refused to pickup my calls twice. I had to have a family member reach out which confirmed that he was ignoring my calls. I then came back to find the short boards pulled up and new boards nailed down. This left me with nailed boards surrounded by damaged boards from where they had pulled up the floors. I called the owner again in which he finally answered and agreed to walk through the house with me so we could settle everything. I was then told the best they could do was to patch the cracks in my flooring. The patching was awful. It doesn’t match my floors and looks like dirt. I was also told the patch would harden but it hasn’t and has gotten stuck to my socks and chipped/cracked in between pieces of wood where it was used. Overall, I was left with nailed hardwoods that weren’t supposed to have visible nails, gaps between pieces of wood, and boards with chipped ends. I also feel like I was not listened to about my concerns. I was even asked by the owner of the company where I was going to put furniture to see if it would cover their mistakes. I feel like these results are unacceptable for the price I had to pay. At one point, I was offered a discount because of the issues but then once it was time for me to pay they said I was never offered a discount. Please refer to the images I’ve attached.
