We had an outstanding experience with Scott’s Marine, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. After another Mastercraft dealer installed a new fuel sender incorrectly—leaving off a screw and misaligning the unit—it caused fuel to leak everywhere. It was not only a huge mess but a serious safety hazard. Thankfully, we found Mike at Scott’s Marine. Mike quickly diagnosed the issue and made the proper repair with total professionalism. His expertise literally saved our vacation. A few days later, we had another scare—our boat was accidentally pulled out of the lake with the engine running. I called Mike, and even though it wasn’t a repair job, he was generous with his time and walked me through what I needed to inspect and how to protect the engine going forward. Mike and his wife are both kind, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable. It’s rare to find people who truly care and go out of their way to help like they do. Whether you need diagnostics, repairs, or just honest advice, Scott’s Marine is the place to go!

9/9/2024 Scott’s Boat Repair & Marine Accessories Subject: Why didn’t they tell me! I took my boat to Scott’s Boat Repair & Marine Accessories in Paso Robles for a fuel leak. The leak turned out to be a fuel pump problem and they replaced it. They said the work was complete and I could pick up my boat. I live in Arroyo Grande. I drove an hour there, paid, and drove an hour home. Once home I found the tilt/trim did not operate. The tilt/trim worked fine at my home before I took it to Scott’s boat Repair, but after a week in the shop I got home and I have a boat that I can’t put in the water! I called Scott’s and asked if they knew the trim didn’t work. He said the technician mentioned it. Why didn’t you tell me?! He said he didn’t want to work on anything we hadn’t discussed when I brought the boat in. They had my phone number. They had my email address. Why didn’t somebody contact me?! I may have asked them to repair it. Now I have to find a new repair shop. The tilt//trim worked well when I took the boat into Scott’s. The tilt/trim did not work when I brought it home. Very unusual, but right now I don’t know what happened. It appears they did a good job on the fuel pump. I haven’t had it out on the water to test it. The boat is a 1992 Hydroswift with a 5.7 Volvo Penta engine. Runs well. It’s in good shape for its age. Nice boat. Ted Response to owners response. As I mentioned, if I had known about the problem when it was in your shop, I would likely have asked for an estimate. A little communication would have saved me a lot of problems.

Great ethical family business! I took my 1999 Bayliner Capri to Scott's last January for repairs and winterizing, they did a incredible job replacing the windshield trim and repaired some gel coat dings also removed all of the Algae and buffed out the hull to a shinny luster! She looks like brand new! All done on time at a reasonable price. As a satisfied customer I brought her back in the spring for a complete engine tune up. Mike and Rich went through everything, New plugs, Oil & Filter, Gas Treatment, Fuel Filter, Distributor, Ignition, Carburetor, and Exhaust manifolds...I had a deadline due to family coming up from Orange County and they all went out of their way to accommodate me... Rich even met me at the HR ramp for a test drive! Now she looks Great and runs Great! I've been enjoying the Lake this season... Thank you, Mike, Christen and Rich for taking care of me 😎
