Schug Winery

We did a cave tasting experience with Jenny and loved every minute of it. We loved every wine we tasted — the white pinot was terrific and we had the chance to try a Chardonnay from the library that was delicious. Jenny was a great host and we felt like we could have spent the whole day here. We also met Johannes, the winemaker, at the end of our visit. We will definitely come back to visit again next time we are in Sonoma!

Schug Winery was our favorite. Made a reservation for the wine tasting in their cave. It was awesome walking into the cave which opens to a chandelier room very elegant with a great table. Various wines were poured and tasted. Exceptional wines at this winery. We bought a case. I highly recommend this winery for the tour and the wine!

Our tasting experience was fantastic. We were welcomed into the library in their caves, which was lined with rare bottles of wine. Our host was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We loved chatting about the rich history of the winery and the region. Their white pinot was unique and delicious.

We loved the wine here. Jenny was our guide and she was so friendly and fun to tour and taste with. Great family run winery with amazing wine and interesting history.

This winery was beautiful and the staff was lovely! Along with detailed explanations of each wine, we got tips on how to navigate the area. Valerie was incredibly helpful and made us feel at home. Each wine was wonderful! We will definitely be coming back to this spot for annual girls trips. They ship to most states, so setting up a long distance membership is easy. Everything about our time at Schug was enjoyable.

We really enjoyed the Schug Vineyard tasting, we got to try a variety of wines from a sparkling Pinot Noir to a Cabernet Sauvignon. They were all so good, and we even ended up purchasing two bottles. The staff were all super friendly and made the tasting very enjoyable.

Theresa was so very helpful, and knowledgeable of the wines she was pouring, and wines available at the winery. It was a beautiful day, and we really enjoyed the outdoor tables near the tasting room. We had planned only to stay a short time, but Theresa gave us time for sampling, and discussions, to help us make the best decisions for our preferences. Fantastic day with fantastic people!!

Beautiful vineyard with optional self tour available. Posted signs and arrows lead you through the rows of vines with numerous photo ops!

I've been to Sonoma 8x at this point and I would say this is one of my least favorite winery experiences. We were sat on what basically felt like the parking lot. Views were nice but lacked the ambiance of many of the other estates. You have to buy 6 bottles to wave one tasting fee which is the highest Ive seen in my Sonoma visits.
