An FCBC charger, or Float-cum-Boost Charger, is a specialized DC power system that combines two functions: it continuously "floats" a battery with a low charge while also powering critical loads (like in substations, telecom) and can switch to a "boost" mode to quickly recharge the battery when needed, ensuring uninterrupted power. They use separate float and boost chargers within one unit, providing reliable, seamless power for essential equipment, with the battery taking over instantly during main power failures.
