I'm very happy with excavation Rykstone Construction did on my mountain lot. It was a difficult site and extremely tough soil to work with. Compared to many of the projects that Rykstone construction takes on my project was relatively small, a brand new culvert that was critical to keeping my property from flooding during the Spring melt. Kent's always communicative, friendly and straightforward. For the first time the spring melt off did not swamp my driveway and the water flowed smoothly and cleanly down the hill. Every time I go to take a look at the culvert I think to myself, that is a thing of beauty. I have a second Culvert that is going to need to be replaced and I wouldn't even think of employing anybody but Rykstone Construction. Thanks Kent.

Kent was reliable and honest and was able to complete the work quickly and at the same time with a high level of skill. It was a difficult pond project and he did an excellent job. Attention to detail from start to finish, Rykstone took on a high-end, lengthy concrete culvert installation for our community and did exceptional work. Our roads are now much better protected from the elements. Thank you for making our project a priority.

Kent with Rykstone Construction recently completed a major job for us. The job consisted of excavating an existing retaining rock wall on a steep driveway and replacing it with Verti-Block manufactured stone covering an area of 120 feet long by 9 feet high. The old wall contained gray slate boulders that were crumbling into pieces. The job was complicated because it involved demolition, protection of existing heat pipes in the driveway, site prep, wall construction, new irrigation and landscaping. Finally, we added an additional complex element of removing select aged crumbling boulders from the side of our property that were on a steep slope next to a roadway. Throughout this multi-week effort, Kent expertly maneuvered the challenges of the job. He walked us through the steps, oversaw the work, tweaked the process as it progressed, and inspected all elements as it was done. Most of the work Kent did himself, ensuring that the utmost workmanship and skill were applied. The final product is stunning. It looks natural, and blends well into the environment. It is stable, secure, and will last a lifetime. I highly recommend Kent and Rykstone for any construction job, big or small.

My property has some pretty nasty mountain terrain. It’s steep and very rocky. I had hired another company out of Salt Lake to do some dirt work for me (driveway, building pad etc). They quickly realized the job was beyond their capabilities and I have to say I feel lucky to have found Rykstone. They were comfortable and confident with my nasty terrain, and they got the job done. I am quite happy with the overall experience and feel the price was very fair - considering what they had to deal with and what the going rates are for licensed contractors. I even received some money back as they were able to cut some costs and save me some of what they originally quoted. I would highly recommend and use them again if needed.
