Cesar is phenomenal. His attention to detail exceeds all others I’ve experienced in the neighborhood. He has cut my hair for 3 years. I get complimented on my haircuts from Cesar all the time. Scheduling is super easy. Highly recommend!!

Excellent! One of the few places to get a REAL FADE. Been going for at least 15 years and it’s worth the trip from Andersonville. I barely speak Spanish, but don’t have any problem communicating my needs. My guy barely speaks English, but we connect. It takes him about 45 to 60 minutes to cut my hair, and that’s why I tip him well. I got a crappy cut from a hipster “old school”barbershop in my neighborhood up north… it was 45 bucks for about 2 minutes of razor and 15 minutes of the SuperCuts shearing job. Tons of imitators out there but Reuben’s is the real deal. In all these years, I’ve never seen a drug deal or riffraff anywhere near the store. Pretty sure negative reviews come from Karens. Yeah, my guy misses the mark every blue moon but he’s spot-on most of the time. I get complimented on my hair frequently. I’ve seen mostly Latino, various Asian, and white dudes (like me) but a few black dudes do come here. And every once in a while, I see a woman get her hair done. It’s my sense this place has been around for decades and we’ll stay around for decades to come. Make an appointment on the web or walk-in (I’ve actually got around to making appointments and saving time as a result). One of the last real barbershops without the pretension. My man-spa!

I scheduled an appointment with Cesar online. I arrived on time, and he was already waiting for me, starting my haircut right away without any delays. He did an excellent job and is clearly a professional. Additionally, he has a friendly demeanor, which makes you feel comfortable during your appointment.

I'm a very picky and biased person when it comes to haircuts, it's my own fault for not being as DETAILED as I should've been, so as for MY haircut it wasn't so great and need a bit more "precision", that, tied in with the boring black and white modernized shop in comparison to the old shop pictures (the ones with the checkered floor) is saddening and makes it soulless in comparison. As for everything else, it's a decent shop with motivated workers, recommend it for more simple or straightforward cuts.

Cesar is an excellent barber—he takes his time, pays exceptional attention to detail, is genuinely friendly, and offers very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Overall amazing experience. Mikey is my go-to barber. You can book and make an appointment online to ensure you’re attended right away. Mikey is flexible with his schedule, as long as you communicate with him. He gives recommendations if you need them, or can be accommodating if you have a certain request. He is easy to talk too and will engage in conversations. He will get it right the first time. I recommend him 100%

This place is a hidden gem, even though it’s been around for many years. Everyone here is a master at what they do. The cuts are always great and it’s reasonably priced. In my opinion, there are so many barbershops in the Chicago area that are overpriced and don’t always deliver. I’ve been coming here for about 2 years and have never been disappointed. Cesar always hooks it up. The attention to detail is always appreciated. I don’t see myself going anywhere else. I referred my buddy to this place and he too was pleasantly surprised with the service he received. To book an appointment all you have to do is go to their website and follow the instructions. Highly recommend!

Been going here for years. Honestly the best barbers I’ve found in Chicago. Best prices. Easy to park. Today Jose cut my hair and he nailed it. Got exactly what I was looking for. Their entire team is legit. I have used all of their services. If you use the booksy app on their website you can always make an appointment. I’ve never had to wait! 10/10 from me.
